Prince Andrew was said to be preparing for a fightback as he was adamant to return to public life, which could still be feasible.
It comes after Prince Andrew’s accuser, Virginia Giuffre, dropped a case she’d brought against American lawyer Alan Dershowitz, saying she may have made a mistake when she accused him of sexual abuse.

A source said that everything had changed and Prince Andrew was determined to fight.
Prince Andrew, 62, paid Giuffre, 39, a reported £12 million to settle a civil lawsuit in which she accused him of sexual abuse, but he’s always and vehemently repudiated the claims.

It came as he spent yesterday shooting with Princess Anne, Prince Edward and other members of the Royal Family on the Windsor estate.
King Charles was also seen in Windsor and is believed to have joined his siblings in the afternoon, but a Buckingham Palace source said the King hadn’t attended the shoot, which took place two days before His Majesty’s 74th birthday.
The Duke seemed relaxed as he enjoyed lunch with Anne, her husband Tim Laurence, and Edward and his wife, the Countess of Wessex.
Sophie Winkleman, the wife of Freddie Windsor, was also seen with the Royal group on the Windsor estate.
The pictures of the family group revealed that Prince Andrew, far from being out in the cold, still has the support of members of his family, yet he wasn’t present at the Cenotaph as he’s no longer able to take part in Royal occasions.
He was also missing from the Festival of Remembrance at the Albert Hall, which remembered those who battled in the Falklands conflict in 1982, in which Prince Andrew served with the Royal Navy.
A newspaper outlet revealed that Prince Andrew was left bereft and in tears, after the King made it clear to him that there would be no way back for him at ‘The Firm’.
The Duke is said to have been blindsided by the outcome of the private meeting, held at Charle’s Birkhall estate in Scotland, just days before the Queen’s demise, but his ex-wife and loyal supporter Sarah Ferguson was jubilant after news of Miss Giuffre’s breakdown.
A friend added that there was a feeling Prince Andrew wanted to forge onwards with a new life but the only person who could agree to that was the Monarch, which means that these discussions would have to start all over again now that there is a new King. Nevertheless, it doesn’t seem that the public wants him back, but some do because they believe that he was set up by a dreadful woman.
This was not a fair trial where Prince Andrew was concerned, it was a witch hunt – they may as well have drowned him and then waited to see if he came up alive, and now his credibility has been lost even though he’s not been found guilty of anything.
He might not be completely blameless for past deeds, even if it were by association, but there is no actual proof that he actually did anything bad. The photos of him could have been fake. I mean, how easy is it these days to fake a picture – 1, 2, 3 and it’s done, and then the media cop hold of it and it’s there for life? They say that what’s in the newspapers today is tomorrow’s history, but unfortunately, that’s not actually true because it’s archived for another press release and then it raises its unsightly head all over again.
So, even though Prince Andrew has never been convicted of a crime, he should bow down gracefully and live a quiet life, apart from family dinners and family parties.
