A couple found a dead and burned fetus in Phoenix’s biggest homeless encampment as they tried to put out a fire.
Arizona police received a call about an endangered child near West Madison Street on Saturday around 1 am. When they arrived at the scene they discovered the charred fetus that was about 20 to 24 weeks, according to police.
One eyewitness told a neighbour that he and his fiance saw someone light a fire in the street. The couple then tried to put it out when they saw the tiny body.
The homeless crisis in Phoenix has been growing since the pandemic with 3,096 as of this year.
Joel Coplin told 12 News that he said that his fiance came and was trying to put the fire out, and then he went to stamp on it to put it out and discovered it was a baby in there.
He said he saw the head, a perfectly shaped head, and little arms, hands, legs and chest. He then grabbed his fiance and turned away so she wouldn’t see it, and he was freaked out, he then called 911. The fetus was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Phoenix homeless encampment the fetus was found at, known as ‘The Zone’ by some, is one of the several developing tent cities in the Arizona state capital that grew during the pandemic.
Joel Coplin’s home overlooks the streets nearby where the fetus was found. He wasn’t in complete shock about the discovery, and he said that anything could happen around there and that they were right down here in ‘The Zone’, and anything and everything does happen.
According to 12 News, about 1,000 homeless people are now sleeping in the encampment as of October 27.
A lawsuit was recently launched and heard in court about the conditions of the encampment after property owners sued earlier this year.
City officials also said they were working to resolve the homelessness problem, and suggested the opening of a new homeless shelter.
Thousands of people were declared homeless in Phoenix during the pandemic in 2020, with faeces and garbage scattered throughout ‘The Zone’ that’s nearby luxury apartment buildings and restaurants.
The current homeless tally in Phoenix was 3,096, according to city officials. The rise in rent and the pandemic were at the forefront of blame for the increase since 2020 when 2,380 homeless people were reported.
All we can hope for now is that the fetus was already dead before it was set alight, and the fetus definitely deserved better, but this is just another day in Joe Biden’s new America.

The homeless crisis in America is simply horrific, and the whole situation is just overwhelming all around, and Joe Biden’s America is a nightmare, and being homeless isn’t a crime, and this fetus was a baby, not really a fetus, a human being, and it was set on fire, and now it seems that life is cheap.
America is a prosperous place, who would believe that they would have a problem like this going on in the world? And it appears that thousands of people have been cut adrift and left to rot – what a sick world we live in!
Humans are a plague on this planet, and America is in rapid decline, and Americans really have no education, and the fact that they have homeless encampments means that America has miserably failed as a society.
