Southchurch High School, in Southchurch Boulevard, England sent a letter home to parents on January 9, notifying them of the changes to the school procedures.
Within this, it included an update concerning the conduct expected by students at the school, which said pupils can no longer touch each other.
The letter stated that students were not allowed to touch each other whilst on site and that the only exceptions would be in Performing Arts, sporting activities and PE lessons when this was required.
The letter said that this would help create a calm and orderly environment and ensure that there was no confusion about play fighting or anything more serious, and it thanked parents once again for their support.
This comes months after Southchurch High School barred students from using the toilets during classes to avoid disruption.
As well as preventing students from not touching one another, the school also added restrictions on mobile phones and congestion in corridors.
The letter added that student numbers had grown rapidly over the last few years, and in order to avoid congestion and jostling in corridors, they’d introduced a one-way system in order to avoid overcrowding in corridors and to ensure safe transitions between classes.
It said that mobile phones mustn’t be used or seen, between the hours of 8.30 am to 3 pm, or in intervention sessions, or detentions, and that if they’re seen they would be seized and sent to the front office, where students could collect them at 3 pm.
This announcement follows the Chelmsford secondary school, Hylands, also introducing a new rule which prohibits students from hugging and holding hands.
Southchurch High School has been contacted by a newspaper outlet for further comment.
Welcome to your new communist country.
Remember when school was said to be the best days of our life, alas no more, with cyborg clones that are teaching cyborg clones in sterile and sanitised environments, no wonder our children are messed up.
Now education is a waste of time because now, one size fits all, so good luck with finding your vocation in life. What the hell is the world coming to when you can’t touch – next they’ll be telling us that we can’t kiss in public, or is that already a thing? If not, then it soon will be!
