The King Is ‘Entirely Comfortable’ With President Biden Patting Him On The Back

King Charles was completely comfortable with being touched by President Biden at their friendly Windsor Castle meeting.

The US President, 80, technically broke protocol by continually putting his hand on the monarch as they met inside the quadrangle at Windsor ahead of a discussion about climate change.

As the two men prepared to listen to a performance of the US National Anthem, played by the Welsh Guards, Mr Biden put his hand on the King’s back.

The two men also laughed as they chatted together, signalling that they got on well.

Responding to the contact, a source inside Buckingham Palace said that his Majesty the King was entirely comfortable with that kind of contact, and what a wonderful symbol of warmth and affection it was between both the individuals and their nations.

Mr Biden met the King after spending just 42 minutes meeting Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at Number 10 Downing Street in London.

As Charles’s guest, the President strolled in front of the King as he inspected the Welsh Guards in the quadrangle at the castle.

The President’s engagement with the King came after a phone conversation earlier this year that Biden’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, described as ‘incredibly warm’.

Mr Biden last had formal talks with Charles at the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow in November 2021.

He attended the state funeral of Charles’s mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September, but didn’t go to the Coronation, but his wife, Jill, attended instead.

Mr Sullivan said the President had huge respect for the King’s commitment to the climate issue in particular.

He said Charles had been a clarion voice on climate change and someone who mobilised action and effort.

Mr Sullivan told reporters as Biden flew to London that the President comes at this with enormous goodwill.

Once inside the Castle, Mr Biden and the King joined participants of the Climate Finance Mobilisation forum.

The group were led by Energy Secretary Grant Shapps and Mr Biden’s climate envoy John Kerry, among others.

After leaving Windsor, Mr Biden made his way to Stanstead Airport to fly to Lithuania ahead of a Nato summit in which the war in Ukraine and the US decision to send cluster bombs to the country would be high on the agenda.

It now appears that King Charles is about updating the monarchy, either that or Joe Biden needed to steady himself and thus the reason for the back rub.

Charles, William and Kate seem to have forgotten Royal Protocol, whilst they try to give the impression that they are one of us, but they’re not!

They’re not one of us and they shouldn’t pretend to be. And Joe Biden and King Charles are just two old men with nothing to offer the world. It’s all smoke and mirrors to conceal what actually goes on behind closed doors.

They are both global warming people who rant on about climate change and yet both of them fly around in private jets and helicopters while insisting the rest of us will die if we don’t live like Stone Age people, extremely hypocritical.

We also have to remember that these people are human beings, not Gods, and it’s quite different a man touching a man, but you wouldn’t have expected a man to touch the Queen when she was alive so therefore I don’t see any offence in it, besides, Charles probably realised that Joe needed to be supported and felt sorry for him. I suppose it was a good thing that Charles didn’t pat Joe on the back, he would have probably shattered the old boy’s spine.

My vision on life is pretty broad, therefore I like to address specific subjects that intrigue me. Therefore I really appreciate the world of politics, though I have no actual views on who I will vote for, that I will not tell you, so please do not ask! I am like an observation station when it comes to writing, and I simply take the news and make it my own. I have no expectations, I simply love to write, and I know this seems really odd, but I don't get paid for it, I really like what I do and since I am never under any pressure, I constantly find that I write much better, rather than being blanketed under masses of paperwork and articles that I am on a deadline to complete. The chances are, that whilst all other journalists are out there, ripping their hair out, attempting to get their articles completed, I'm simply rambling along at my convenience creating my perfect piece. I guess it must look pretty unpleasant to some of you that I work for nothing, perhaps even brutal. Perhaps I have an obvious disregard for authority, I have no idea, but I would sooner be working for myself, than under somebody else, excuse the pun! Small I maybe, but substantial I will become, eventually. My desk is the most chaotic mess, though surprisingly I know where everything is, and I think that I would be quite unsuited for a desk job. My views on matters vary and I am extremely open-minded to the stuff that I write about, but what I write about is the truth and getting it out there, because the people must be acquainted. Though I am quite entertained by what goes on in the world. My spotlight is mostly to do with politics, though I do write other material as well, but it's essentially politics that I am involved in, and I tend to concentrate my attention on that, however, information is essential. If you have information the possibilities are endless because you are only limited by your own imagination...
