Meghan Markle broke cover on Friday to check out her local farmer’s market, days after her tumultuous Netflix docuseries with Prince Harry failed to achieve any Emmy nominations.
The 41-year-old was instead accompanied by her security detail and one of her beloved pet beagles, despite the market’s rule prohibiting canines.
Sporting a white, unbuttoned collared shirt over a camel-coloured maxi dress, black flip flops, and sunglasses, the former actress went almost undetected by locals as she went from tent to tent browsing various collections of goods.

She gathered up a bunch of fresh flowers which she then stashed in a large woven straw tote for her convenience as she resumed shopping.
At one point she also stopped to sample some honey from a vendor.
While Meghan mostly managed to fly under the radar during her travels to the market, she was pleasant and beamed politely at the handful of locals who did recognise her, as her security kept a vigilant eye on her and the pet beagle.

The large bodyguard kept a safe distance from Meghan Markle and watched her dog while she looked around the market.
The couple owns two beagles, Guy, who Meghan adopted while she was still acting in 2015, and Mamma Mia, who they saved from an animal testing centre last summer. They also have a Labrador called Pula.
However, the former royal wasn’t the only notable face checking out the farmers market at the start-studded coastal town.
Keith Hudson, the pastor father of Katy Perry who grew up in Santa Barbara, was also spotted among the masses shopping.
According to the website, the farmer’s market is held weekly in the community, rotating along four sections of the 110 and 1200 blocks of Coast Village Road, in the main retail sector of Montecito.
The moneyed coastal town has become increasingly popular among Hollywood celebrities over the years due to its idyllic landscape and secluded homes, perfect for privacy lovers.
Meghan Markle’s expedition comes after the Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, was cold-shouldered by Emmy voters when nominations were announced earlier this week despite its victorious debut in December.
The show, however, did manage to achieve a Hollywood Critics Award nomination for Best Streaming Nonfiction on Wednesday.
Meghan and Harry have been seen out and about in their Montecito neighbourhood in recent weeks following a series of blows to their media empire.
This is typical of Meghan Markle disregarding the rules and doing precisely what she wants, walking her dog where it’s not allowed. However, evidently, everyone takes their dogs to the Montecito Farmers Market, the sign has been ignored for an extremely long time, and she would have known that.
