At A Georgia Hospital, A Baby Was Decapitated During Birth

It has been determined that the death of a baby who was beheaded in a Georgia hospital after childbirth constituted murder.

Treveon Isaiah Taylor Jr.’s death was attributed to the “actions of another person,” according to the Clayton County Medical Examiner’s Office on Tuesday. However, the office noted that the District Attorney will decide whether to press formal charges.

An autopsy report acquired by Atlanta New First states that the infant suffered from a “fracture dislocation with complete transection (to the) upper cervical spine and spinal cord.”

His death was caused by shoulder dystocia, arrest of labour, and foetal entrapment in the birth canal. Pregnancy-induced diabetes and premature rupture of membranes also contributed, per the report.

The baby’s parents are filing lawsuits against Southern Regional Medical Centre, obstetrician Dr. Tracey St. Julian, and pathologist Dr. Jackson Gates, despite the fact that no medical personnel have been prosecuted criminally.

On July 9, their horror started when 20-year-old mother Jessica Ross and her partner Treveon Isaiah Taylor Sr. arrived at the Riverdale hospital to give birth.

According to the lawsuit, Ross started having problems when her newborn boy’s shoulders became caught during a vaginal birth that started at 8:40 p.m.

Dr. St. Julian is charged with postponing a C-section and neglecting to call for assistance promptly. Rather, lawyer and doctor Roderick Edmond says she attempted to deliver the baby while Ross was still conscious by using “ridiculously excessive force” on the infant’s head and neck.

Three and a half hours later, at 12.11 am, the baby’s head was delivered vaginally, but his torso and legs were delivered via C-section.

When Ross and Taylor demanded to see and hold their child, they claimed the baby was tightly wrapped in a blanket with his head ‘propped on top of his body’ to make it appear like it was still attached. They ultimately found out about the decapitation from the funeral home, they claim.

According to the complaint, when Dr. St. Julian spoke with Ross and her family on July 10 at approximately five in the morning, she failed to inform them about the decapitation.

By pushing them to have their son cremated and deterring them from obtaining an autopsy, the bereaved couple has accused the hospital of trying to hide what occurred.

They assert that information about the case was only discovered after a whistleblower at the Willie A. Watkins funeral home expressed concerns about the condition of the body.

The parents are fighting back, which is fantastic, and the hospital never imagined the parents would find out. The complete truth must be revealed.

How does a parent come back from this? It was horrific. It almost sounds like something out of a Frankenstein movie.

I feel terrible for the parents who had to learn of the horrible manner in which their child passed away—this was simply horrific.

This must be the saddest story ever, and on top of that, the doctors and staff lying about it was inconceivable.

Many news stories leave me in complete silence, but this one took my breath away. I hope that the individuals involved serve time in prison and that the family can move on from this. As a parent, I find it impossible to see how someone can move on from this.

To attempt to cover it up the way they did, this hospital had to have a lot of balls, I have to say. Aiming to give the head a connected appearance.

This was simply horrible, and this case is going to be costly, and rightfully so.

Everyone who was involved in this should be ashamed of themselves. The doctors had to know what she was doing, applying that much pressure to try to remove the child from its mother.

My vision on life is pretty broad, therefore I like to address specific subjects that intrigue me. Therefore I really appreciate the world of politics, though I have no actual views on who I will vote for, that I will not tell you, so please do not ask! I am like an observation station when it comes to writing, and I simply take the news and make it my own. I have no expectations, I simply love to write, and I know this seems really odd, but I don't get paid for it, I really like what I do and since I am never under any pressure, I constantly find that I write much better, rather than being blanketed under masses of paperwork and articles that I am on a deadline to complete. The chances are, that whilst all other journalists are out there, ripping their hair out, attempting to get their articles completed, I'm simply rambling along at my convenience creating my perfect piece. I guess it must look pretty unpleasant to some of you that I work for nothing, perhaps even brutal. Perhaps I have an obvious disregard for authority, I have no idea, but I would sooner be working for myself, than under somebody else, excuse the pun! Small I maybe, but substantial I will become, eventually. My desk is the most chaotic mess, though surprisingly I know where everything is, and I think that I would be quite unsuited for a desk job. My views on matters vary and I am extremely open-minded to the stuff that I write about, but what I write about is the truth and getting it out there, because the people must be acquainted. Though I am quite entertained by what goes on in the world. My spotlight is mostly to do with politics, though I do write other material as well, but it's essentially politics that I am involved in, and I tend to concentrate my attention on that, however, information is essential. If you have information the possibilities are endless because you are only limited by your own imagination...
