Warwick Davis’ Last Picture Of Wife Samantha As They Enjoy A Date Night Before Her Death, Aged 53, As He Pays Tribute To Her ‘Unique Character’ And Wicked Sense Of Humour

Just five months before Samantha passed away, Warwick Davis and his wife were pictured enjoying a date night. It is the last photo they will ever have together.

The Star Wars and Harry Potter actor, 54, heartbreakingly revealed yesterday that his life partner, whom he first met on the set of his 1988 film Willow, had died on March 24, aged 53.

His life partner, whom he met on the set of his 1988 film Willow, passed away on March 24 at the age of 53, as the 54-year-old Star Wars and Harry Potter star heartbreakingly disclosed yesterday.

In an emotional tribute put out on Wednesday, Davis said the death of his wife, who was also an actor, had left ‘a huge hole in our lives’ and that she made him feel like he had a ‘superpower’.

The loving couple were most recently seen together in a selfie posted on his Instagram page on October 5 last year, in which they were seen smiling at the camera during a ‘date night’.

It was accompanied by the light-hearted and tender caption: ‘A long overdue date night with my beautiful wife. She felt a bit overdressed for McDonald’s!’

The picture delighted fans of the pair, with one remarking, ‘you two are just amazing’ and another calling them a ‘gorgeous couple’.

Following Davis’ devastating revelation that his wife of 33 years had passed away last month, the picture reappeared.

In an emotional tribute to his ‘favourite human’, Davis said: ‘Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs.’

He described Sammy, as he called her, as his ‘most trusted confidant and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my career’. He said he felt like he could achieve anything with his wife by his side and that it felt like he had a ‘superpower’.

‘She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life; she had a wicked sense of humour and always laughed at my bad jokes,’ Davis said in a statement given to the BBC.

Three years later, in 1991, the pair was married after they first met on the set of George Lucas’s film Willow. They had three children throughout their 33-year marriage, one of whom unfortunately passed away soon after birth.

This lovely family always seemed to radiate such genuine happiness, and Warwick’s wife was taken far too young. Whenever there were reports in the media about Warwick Davis and his family, they were always genuinely happy, and it was lovely to see.

They were a beautiful and funny family. Also decent, kind, and a true force of positivity. They found true happiness together, despite facing huge adversity. Life really is tragic and cruel.

When Warwick spoke about his wife and kids, he always had such a proud expression, and his wife always seemed to glow. I’m so glad that they found each other and fell in love.

My vision on life is pretty broad, therefore I like to address specific subjects that intrigue me. Therefore I really appreciate the world of politics, though I have no actual views on who I will vote for, that I will not tell you, so please do not ask! I am like an observation station when it comes to writing, and I simply take the news and make it my own. I have no expectations, I simply love to write, and I know this seems really odd, but I don't get paid for it, I really like what I do and since I am never under any pressure, I constantly find that I write much better, rather than being blanketed under masses of paperwork and articles that I am on a deadline to complete. The chances are, that whilst all other journalists are out there, ripping their hair out, attempting to get their articles completed, I'm simply rambling along at my convenience creating my perfect piece. I guess it must look pretty unpleasant to some of you that I work for nothing, perhaps even brutal. Perhaps I have an obvious disregard for authority, I have no idea, but I would sooner be working for myself, than under somebody else, excuse the pun! Small I maybe, but substantial I will become, eventually. My desk is the most chaotic mess, though surprisingly I know where everything is, and I think that I would be quite unsuited for a desk job. My views on matters vary and I am extremely open-minded to the stuff that I write about, but what I write about is the truth and getting it out there, because the people must be acquainted. Though I am quite entertained by what goes on in the world. My spotlight is mostly to do with politics, though I do write other material as well, but it's essentially politics that I am involved in, and I tend to concentrate my attention on that, however, information is essential. If you have information the possibilities are endless because you are only limited by your own imagination...
