Apples And Pears: Rishi Sunak

Rishi Sunak will advise Britain to plant more apples and pears because he believes that the security of the nation might be jeopardised by an overreliance on food imports.

The Prime Minister will use a food summit in Downing Street to tell farmers they are ‘vital to the security and fabric of our country’.

But he will warn that a new ‘food security index’ has found the UK is too reliant on foreign imports, particularly fruit and vegetables.

The farming industry is at its most productive point ever, according to the research, which will provide an annual assessment of land usage and food output.

However, it will also show that just 17% of fruit and 55% of vegetables purchased in this nation are grown locally.

While there isn’t a direct threat to food supplies, ministers think that the conflict in Ukraine has made it clearer how dangerous it is to rely too much on foreign supply networks.

There will be a series of announcements, including awards totalling £10 million to assist orchard owners in raising their yield.

The total amount of money to promote increased horticulture output will be doubled, reaching £80 million.

An additional £15 million will be made available for the development of novel crop types with increased disease resistance.

Additionally, Mr Sunak will mandate a study of the process for reducing red tape when building polytunnels and glasshouses.

He said: ‘Come rain or shine, I will always back British farmers. From feeding the nation to protecting our countryside, they are vital to the security and the fabric of our country. This package of support will help farmers produce more British food, and deliver on our long-term plan to invest in our rural communities.’

The impact of the wettest start to the year in decades will also be discussed at the summit when ministers will announce £75 million in support for better drainage.

Sadly, good arable land is being turned into solar farms, when our farmers should be growing grains, fruit and vegetables and farming meat.

Local farmers, however, have been subject to compulsory purchase, making it impossible to farm and keep their cattle. We need to stop this madness, but it won’t stop because it’s intentional. After all, the government want to produce genetically modified foods for us all the eat, and eventually, everything that we eat will be genetically modified, and everything will be sold off, even the family silver, but of course, it’s the Conservative way.

Hey, what a terrific idea, let’s cultivate more apples and pears, even though crime is taking over the streets.

Following Brexit, farmers were among the first to lose their subsidies, and they were not given any new ones. Their seasonal labour was no longer available to them, bureaucracy has grown, and many people have lost their jobs.

Rishi Sunak knows he’s probably going to lose the next General Election, therefore, he will do everything in his power to make everyone’s life a misery.

Our country is going to the dogs and apples and pears are his pearls of wisdom. If anyone should grow a pair (pun intended), it should be him.

My vision on life is pretty broad, therefore I like to address specific subjects that intrigue me. Therefore I really appreciate the world of politics, though I have no actual views on who I will vote for, that I will not tell you, so please do not ask! I am like an observation station when it comes to writing, and I simply take the news and make it my own. I have no expectations, I simply love to write, and I know this seems really odd, but I don't get paid for it, I really like what I do and since I am never under any pressure, I constantly find that I write much better, rather than being blanketed under masses of paperwork and articles that I am on a deadline to complete. The chances are, that whilst all other journalists are out there, ripping their hair out, attempting to get their articles completed, I'm simply rambling along at my convenience creating my perfect piece. I guess it must look pretty unpleasant to some of you that I work for nothing, perhaps even brutal. Perhaps I have an obvious disregard for authority, I have no idea, but I would sooner be working for myself, than under somebody else, excuse the pun! Small I maybe, but substantial I will become, eventually. My desk is the most chaotic mess, though surprisingly I know where everything is, and I think that I would be quite unsuited for a desk job. My views on matters vary and I am extremely open-minded to the stuff that I write about, but what I write about is the truth and getting it out there, because the people must be acquainted. Though I am quite entertained by what goes on in the world. My spotlight is mostly to do with politics, though I do write other material as well, but it's essentially politics that I am involved in, and I tend to concentrate my attention on that, however, information is essential. If you have information the possibilities are endless because you are only limited by your own imagination...
