Trooping The Colour

It was incredible to witness Trooping the Colour in real-time, however, I’m not sure how many people watched it.

Princess Kate grinned broadly at the cheering throng as she stood with her family on the Buckingham Palace balcony. She seemed very happy.

Prince Louis was not amused. The young Prince appeared to be unimpressed with the Red Arrows flypast as he stood on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

Members of the royal family waved to the crowds before the Red Arrows flypast before standing proudly as the national anthem was played.

The King gave the applauding masses another wave before entering the palace.

The Prince and Princess of Wales and their children also waved before following Charles and Camilla from the balcony.

The Royal Family looked to the sky as the RAF flypast took place at this year’s Trooping the Colour where the planes left strips of red, white and blue in the sky.

The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery fired 41 guns in honour of the monarch’s birthday from nearby Green Park.

Thousands of people flocked down The Mall towards Buckingham Palace, hoping to see the royal family on the balcony. The King waved to those spectators who dared to stay on The Mall despite the heavy rain.

Even in this terrible British weather, the troops remain impeccable.

Catherine, the Princess of Wales, was seen wiping the fog from her carriage window to wave to royal fans.

In keeping with tradition, the King leads the troops back to Buckingham Palace to finish the ceremony. Crowds cheer even though the rain has started to pour.

Naughty Prince Louis was spotted bopping along to the bagpipes at Trooping the Colour as his big sister Princess Charlotte has a stern word and appears to tell him to stop.

Princess Anne arrived on horseback for today’s event in her no-nonsense way, and Clare Balding, who was presenting the live coverage of Trooping the Colour on BBC, laughs as she watched Prince Louis yawn at the proceedings.

The journalist joked: ‘Ah, Prince Louis – stealing the show as ever.’

As the family watches on from the balcony at the Major General’s Office, the Princess of Wales appears to have a quiet word with Louis – who is known for his antics.

Lady Louise Windsor looked elegant in a tea dress made of white chiffon with blue flowers on it; she wore the same outfit to the King’s Coronation in May.

It’s safe to say that our Kate is the object of much adoration.

While I don’t support royalty, I do appreciate it when others do.

I do wish Kate all the very best, and anyone else who has a cancer diagnosis. It’s a horrible disease that has affected tens of millions of people, their families and friends in one way or another.

I’m not a royalist but the anti-monarchists want to give their heads a wobble. Just because you don’t agree with something doesn’t mean you have to tell the whole world. Just let people enjoy what they want while everybody gets on with their own lives. I can’t understand why people think their opinion is more important than anyone elses. If we were just all accepting of each other’s beliefs and lived our lives the world would be a better place.

The UK Armed Forces are the greatest in the world, and the entire event was spectacular as always. The trouble is, there’s not enough of them.

The Trooping of Colour was a fabulous spectacle. So much hard work and dedication go into the preparation as well as yesterday’s parade, and what parent would be proud of their son or daughter taking part in it?

Remember that these soldiers are not simply for show; they are also active combatants.

In addition to the amazing turnout, what was even more impressive were the large groups that showed up despite the rain and waited for hours on end.

The stunning flypast by our fantastic Red Arrows was something to be proud of, and the 41-gun salute was amazing and executed with excellent accuracy. Of course, seeing our Royal Family happy and smiling on Buckingham Palace’s balcony was the cherry on top.

My vision on life is pretty broad, therefore I like to address specific subjects that intrigue me. Therefore I really appreciate the world of politics, though I have no actual views on who I will vote for, that I will not tell you, so please do not ask! I am like an observation station when it comes to writing, and I simply take the news and make it my own. I have no expectations, I simply love to write, and I know this seems really odd, but I don't get paid for it, I really like what I do and since I am never under any pressure, I constantly find that I write much better, rather than being blanketed under masses of paperwork and articles that I am on a deadline to complete. The chances are, that whilst all other journalists are out there, ripping their hair out, attempting to get their articles completed, I'm simply rambling along at my convenience creating my perfect piece. I guess it must look pretty unpleasant to some of you that I work for nothing, perhaps even brutal. Perhaps I have an obvious disregard for authority, I have no idea, but I would sooner be working for myself, than under somebody else, excuse the pun! Small I maybe, but substantial I will become, eventually. My desk is the most chaotic mess, though surprisingly I know where everything is, and I think that I would be quite unsuited for a desk job. My views on matters vary and I am extremely open-minded to the stuff that I write about, but what I write about is the truth and getting it out there, because the people must be acquainted. Though I am quite entertained by what goes on in the world. My spotlight is mostly to do with politics, though I do write other material as well, but it's essentially politics that I am involved in, and I tend to concentrate my attention on that, however, information is essential. If you have information the possibilities are endless because you are only limited by your own imagination...
