A Newborn Baby Was Thrown From A Fourth-Floor Window

A newborn baby has perished after reportedly being hurled 40 feet from a window by her five-year-old sister.

The tragedy came as the pair were left home alone by their mother while her husband was at work, say law enforcement.

Upon hearing a girl screaming from a fourth-floor window, onlookers noticed the baby lying motionless on the ground.

Witnesses said their ‘knees went weak’ at the horrific sight.

Paramedics confirmed the 21-day-old’s death at the location after dropping onto concrete from a residential building in Vasilyevo village, Russia.

‘A criminal case has been opened over the death of the infant,’ said the Russian Investigative Committee.

Their mother is currently facing jail time.

Investigators are investigating whether the five-year-old was ‘jealous’ of the new baby, and the mother’s reason for leaving her daughters home alone.

One report said she was visiting a friend.

‘The actions of the parents who left the children unattended, as well as other possible scenarios, are being investigated.’

A report citing local sources said: ‘The girl was upset that there was another child in the flat, and out of jealousy, she threw the infant out of the window.’

District chief in Zelenodolsk, Tatarstan, Mikhail Afanasyev, said: ‘Law enforcement officers are now investigating the situation.

‘I express my condolences to the family of the deceased and urge all parents to be vigilant and never leave your children alone.’

Who in the world would leave their 5-year-old unattended with a newborn? Could it be that she had hurried to a neighbour for something?

Is there no safety catch on Russian windows? If the mother had gone to the loo, this might have also occurred.

We have no idea how long the mother was out of the apartment for, and for what reason, so trial by the media is always inadvisable. Visualise having to parent a child who killed your newborn.

The child clearly had no idea what she was doing. Children of that age have a limited understanding, and this child will need a lot of help due to the guilt of their actions, which will likely stay with them for the rest of their lives.

However, for this reason, apartment buildings should not house children, and kid restrictors should be installed in every window.

My vision on life is pretty broad, therefore I like to address specific subjects that intrigue me. Therefore I really appreciate the world of politics, though I have no actual views on who I will vote for, that I will not tell you, so please do not ask! I am like an observation station when it comes to writing, and I simply take the news and make it my own. I have no expectations, I simply love to write, and I know this seems really odd, but I don't get paid for it, I really like what I do and since I am never under any pressure, I constantly find that I write much better, rather than being blanketed under masses of paperwork and articles that I am on a deadline to complete. The chances are, that whilst all other journalists are out there, ripping their hair out, attempting to get their articles completed, I'm simply rambling along at my convenience creating my perfect piece. I guess it must look pretty unpleasant to some of you that I work for nothing, perhaps even brutal. Perhaps I have an obvious disregard for authority, I have no idea, but I would sooner be working for myself, than under somebody else, excuse the pun! Small I maybe, but substantial I will become, eventually. My desk is the most chaotic mess, though surprisingly I know where everything is, and I think that I would be quite unsuited for a desk job. My views on matters vary and I am extremely open-minded to the stuff that I write about, but what I write about is the truth and getting it out there, because the people must be acquainted. Though I am quite entertained by what goes on in the world. My spotlight is mostly to do with politics, though I do write other material as well, but it's essentially politics that I am involved in, and I tend to concentrate my attention on that, however, information is essential. If you have information the possibilities are endless because you are only limited by your own imagination...
