Former MP Keith Vaz was named as the president of the constituency party he served for 32 years and the former chair of the Select Committee on Home Affairs was voted in as chair of the Leicester East Labour Party. The disgraced politician told members that he was standing because there was turmoil in the local party and he wanted to sort it out.
