Spy plane images acquired by a newspaper outlet show a UFO flying near Baghdad last year.
The six pictures seem to show a skinny cylindrical-shaped entity over North Eastern Iraq, near Baghdad, moving across the screen from left to right.
The pictures were taken from a video filmed by a thermal camera in a United States Air Force (USAF) Reaper drone in May 2022 which has been dubbed the ‘Baghdad Phantom’.

A source with knowledge of the incident said the object was flagged in an Air Force repository as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena’, the government’s preferred term for UFOs, last year, because of its strange characteristics.
Fast-moving craft is powered by propulsion systems like rockets or engines that produce heat, but the thermal camera that filmed the entity showed it was colder than its surroundings.
The object also didn’t have any observable wings or fins, likely ruling it out as a glider.
A USAF source said the UFO had no visible propulsion and seemed to be under ‘intelligent control’.
The images were leaked to journalist and documentary filmmaker Jeremy Corbell and investigative journalist George Knapp and released shortly after midnight on Weaponized, their new podcast.
Jeremy Corbell told a newspaper outlet that what he and George had found is Reaper drone footage over an active war zone and that it showed an anomalous object which had been designated as UAP by their own air force.
He said that like their government, they as journalists were curious about what can be seen in the images and that the object appear to have no flight control surfaces, no traditional reactionary propulsion and it was cooler than its surrounding environment, and that this wasn’t your grandma’s rocket that they were looking at.
The six intriguing pictures show the elongated entity at the bottom of the screen moving from left to right. It appeared darker than its background on the thermal camera, indicating it was colder than its surroundings.
The pictures seem to show some type of trail or stream left in the ‘Baghdad Phantom’s’ wake, although it could be an artefact from the video from which they were taken.
Military coordinates on the bottom right of the images give the location of the Reaper Drone video as Northern Eastern Iraq, near Baghdad, and it’s understood that the UFO wasn’t fired at by the USAF, because it had no payload, for instance, a possible bomb, and didn’t get near to ground troops.
But you will notice that these videos and pictures are always so grainy, and to be honest, my security camera at home takes better images, but that’s what you’ll get from thermal imaging I guess.
Believers in aliens will see UFOs. Believers in the man in the sky see Jesus. Believers in ghosts see them in the shadows, and maybe Elvis is riding the Loch Ness Monster.
They said it was dark and cylindrical, no doubt it came from Uranus.
But I have no doubt that we’ve been under surveillance for years and not just from aliens – we are not alone!
UFO just means that it’s an object that’s been unidentified. It doesn’t mean that these objects are extraterrestrial objects/aliens, although there’s always that possibility.
