A poll shows, forget algebra or playing the recorder, most of us would prefer to have been taught real-world skills at school such as changing a car tyre or applying for a mortgage.
More than half of those questioned said the skills they learnt in the classroom hadn’t helped them in later life.
The four least useful things people said they’d learned at school were algebra, the Pythagoras theorem, using a Bunsen burner and how to hurl a javelin.

Learning the plays of William Shakespeare was considered useless as were dissecting an animal and reciting the periodic table.
Nine out of ten Britons polled said they thought students would instead benefit from being taught how to purchase a house, set up a private pension, pay household bills and start a business.
Among the topics said to be missing from the curriculum were lessons about saving accounts, paying taxes, organising home insurance and changing a flat tyre.
However, when it comes to paying your taxes, well, that’s a different story and they definitely don’t teach you this in school.
How about them teaching students this: ‘Is Income Tax Illegal?’
So, you are a native of the United Kingdom, and numerous people have been asking this question.
The actions of the United Kingdom, in waging war in Afghanistan and Iraq, causing the deaths of innocent civilians are illegal by law.
They constitute the crimes of genocide and a crime against peace, and the actions of British taxpayers, in paying taxes to the HM Government, which uses them to finance the war and the slaying of Iraqi nationals, this constitutes crimes of ‘conduct ancillary to genocide’ and ‘complicity in a crime against peace’.
The law states that it’s an offence against the law of England and Wales for a person to commit genocide, a crime against humanity or a war crime, or to engage in conduct ancillary to such an act. This applies to acts committed in England and Wales or outside the United Kingdom by a UK national resident or person subject to the United Kingdom service jurisdiction. See: International Criminal Court Act 2001.
Genocide means any of the following acts perpetrated with intent to destroy in whole or in part a national, ethnic, racial or religious group as such killing of a member of the group, serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group, deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.
Whoever shall aid, abet, counsel or procure the commission of any indictable crime, whether the same be an offence at common law or by virtue of any Act passed or to be passed, shall be liable to be tried, indicted, and punished as a principal offender. See: Accessories and Abettors Act 1961.
Therefore, in summary, the payment of taxes, collected on behalf of the UK Government, must constitute ‘aiding and abetting’ war crimes as described, and therefore, those who collect these taxes must also constitute ‘aiding and abetting’ war crimes as defined.
So, bearing in mind what I have presented herein, have we all been paying for ‘aiding and abetting’ war crimes perpetrated by the United Kingdom by paying our taxes? If this is the case, then we’re all responsible and should be punished.
Morality tells me that ‘aiding and abetting war crimes’ is not the way for a person or a country as a whole to honourably behave, and before we pay our taxes we require justification that the United Kingdom did not engage in ‘aiding and abetting war crimes’ in Iran and Afghanistan.
Of course, we know that there’s a lot of criminality that goes on in world governments, and the fact that your income tax goes to pay for that genocide they inflict on foreign countries in the name of the ‘War on Terror’.
If you challenge this, the HMRC, which administers the revenue collection will tell you that your request for an answer is not answerable under the Freedom of Information Act, and they will engage with you no further.
Income tax, council tax, value added tax and the like are ‘legal’, but they’re not ‘lawful’ or ‘moral’, even though lawful and moral amount to the same thing, so it all comes down to the immense difference between ‘legal’ and ‘lawful’.
With ‘lawful’ you should obey, or be subject to the Verdict of a Jury.
‘Legal’ you only obey if you choose to.
Thus Income tax, Council Tax, Value Added Tax et cetera need only be paid if you choose to comply. To force you to comply is a criminal act of trespass upon your Human Sovereignty.
Almost three-quarters of British people said they relied on older relatives to teach them these vital life skills.
I guess it was a hidden godsend when the pandemic closed our schools down because then parents could consider alternative methods of education.
Of course, not all schools are that bad, but it’s not the teachers that are the issue, the issue is systemic and they’re part of a system that, at best, is designed to dumb our children down, at worst, brainwash them in the insane woke policies of the radical left who control numerous teacher’s unions and the Department of Education.
Dumbing down the population is the main way you control a population, and they can control the cultural narrative because people without good reading skills can’t research or haven’t learnt to practice the art of faithfully challenging everything, and they’re easy to exploit by mainstream media narratives, and perhaps even more effectively through social media algorithms.
We now need more than ever for our children to think critically and prosper in the marketplace, and for our country to flee the almost unavoidable course towards this dangerous and divisive doctrine, and that starts with taking back our children’s education any way we can.
