Queen Camilla Takes A Break From Work ‘To Enjoy Sunshine Overseas’ As Prince William And Princess Anne Step Up

Prince William and Princess Anne are set to take over the reins from exhausted Queen Camilla as she takes a well-deserved break from work to jet off on a holiday overseas.

Since learning of her husband’s shocking cancer diagnosis in January, Her Majesty has been leading the royal household and has fulfilled 13 formal engagements by herself.

With no royal events scheduled for this week, 76-year-old Camilla will spend a few days relaxing in private with her family before departing on a private plane tomorrow.

On March 11, she will return to her duties as the King’s representative at Westminster Abbey for the Commonwealth Day service. To commemorate the event, Charles will instead issue a video message.

Last week, she led the royal family at a memorial service for King Constantine of Greece at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor, after William, 41, was forced to suddenly pull out of the service for his godfather due to an unspecified ‘personal reason’.

It was not thought that his absence had anything to do with Thomas Kingston’s untimely death or his wife, the Princess of Wales, who hasn’t been spotted in public since having stomach surgery at the beginning of the year.

It left Camilla as the last key royal standing last week, sparking some concerns about the stripped-back monarchy and questions about who is in charge during a time when so many key royals are out of the picture.

A royal source told The Sunday Times: ‘Although she was not expecting to find herself in the position of leading the family, the Queen is absolutely prepared to do whatever needs to be done for the institution.

‘She has been buoyed by the public’s reaction. She has found reserves of energy that even she didn’t think she had, and the estimation of her by those inside the palace has soared as she has put her shoulder to the wheel.’

Another, close to the Queen, added, ‘Her Majesty is robust, positive, and determined to keep going while the King is off public duties. The King is proud and pleased to see the show is being kept on the road by the Queen and the wider family.’

William, Princess Royal, and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh are scheduled to attend engagements as usual, while Camilla takes some well-earned time off.

While the King continues to work behind the scenes on his red boxes and other official tasks while he receives treatment, Camilla has been the most senior royal to complete engagements.

One such occasion was on Valentine’s Day, when the 75-year-old King attended an event honouring Shakespeare at Grosvenor House in London by herself.

So, Camilla is exhausted. Perhaps she should work a 40-hour week without any servants, chauffeurs, chefs, traffic jams, or commuting.

Yes, I understand. She is elderly and a well-known figure in the community, and she must also cope with the strain of family issues. She has to spend time with her children and grandkids since she is a mother and grandmother as well, but we all have to do it without constant access to cooks and chauffeurs, and now she’s jetting off to sunnier clims, but don’t worry about the climate change nonsense that Charles is constantly going on about.

Camilla chose to marry Charles. She knew the responsibilities that went with the job, but she could always go and work at Tesco if it’s all too much for her.

Since Camilla had no scheduled events for this week, she had likely reserved her vacation months in advance. She often takes her trip around this time of year, so it’s unlikely that it has anything to do with fatigue. In my opinion, if my spouse were ill and I were married, I wouldn’t abandon him.

My vision on life is pretty broad, therefore I like to address specific subjects that intrigue me. Therefore I really appreciate the world of politics, though I have no actual views on who I will vote for, that I will not tell you, so please do not ask! I am like an observation station when it comes to writing, and I simply take the news and make it my own. I have no expectations, I simply love to write, and I know this seems really odd, but I don't get paid for it, I really like what I do and since I am never under any pressure, I constantly find that I write much better, rather than being blanketed under masses of paperwork and articles that I am on a deadline to complete. The chances are, that whilst all other journalists are out there, ripping their hair out, attempting to get their articles completed, I'm simply rambling along at my convenience creating my perfect piece. I guess it must look pretty unpleasant to some of you that I work for nothing, perhaps even brutal. Perhaps I have an obvious disregard for authority, I have no idea, but I would sooner be working for myself, than under somebody else, excuse the pun! Small I maybe, but substantial I will become, eventually. My desk is the most chaotic mess, though surprisingly I know where everything is, and I think that I would be quite unsuited for a desk job. My views on matters vary and I am extremely open-minded to the stuff that I write about, but what I write about is the truth and getting it out there, because the people must be acquainted. Though I am quite entertained by what goes on in the world. My spotlight is mostly to do with politics, though I do write other material as well, but it's essentially politics that I am involved in, and I tend to concentrate my attention on that, however, information is essential. If you have information the possibilities are endless because you are only limited by your own imagination...
