This is the startling scene as a group of “feral children” drag a man to the ground and stomp on his head after they seem to throw punches at him.
The horrifying viral video, which showed scenes shot at Cowgate, Newcastle Upon Tyne, only a few feet away from Zandi Barbers, debuted on X on Saturday night.
In the 25-second clip, a group of youths can be seen congregating around a man and hurling punches at him.
A man wearing a red top is dragged away from the group by a second man wearing light-coloured trousers and a dark top.
The brutality persists between a youth wearing a blue hoodie and a third man wearing a red top and black trousers.
As the pair fall to the ground, the youths clamber around them and shout to one another.
Several of the youths then appear to kick at their prey repeatedly, at least five times.
A voice off-camera shouts, ‘That’s enough, enough!’ before the clip finishes.
The owner of the Ponteland Road barbershop denied to MailOnline that any of his coworkers were involved in the brawl.
He added that it happened ‘a couple of days ago’.
A string of social media posts on Facebook commenting on the video indicate that the youths had just moments before had an altercation with workers at a nearby pizza shop.
According to a woman who saw the incident, the youngsters boarded a bus at a stop just outside the barber shop.
They were then pursued by two men wearing red tops who ‘stormed’ onto the bus.
It is alleged the men began ‘punching the young boys’ before turning on the partner of the witness, who had asked them to exit the bus.
The witness claimed that while the police were being called to the site, the bus driver stayed at the stop.
The video has drawn thousands of views across social media platforms, with many calling out the behaviour of the young boys.
One described their behaviour as ‘disgusting’, while another said they were ‘wrong, so very, very wrong’.
Another said, ‘I’d be ashamed if they were my kids; I’d hand them into the police myself; there’s just no need for this kind of behaviour’.
A fourth said, ‘Feral and absolutely shocking behaviour’.
Northumbria Police has been contacted by MailOnline for additional comments.
Regrettably, the elite (our government) removed discipline from our homes and schools years ago, and now we are witnessing the outcome of yet another failed social experiment.
There was simply nothing wrong with discipline in schools by teachers and also at home. Children respected their elders and their teachers. Discipline has been made obsolete, along with the cane in schools, and now we couldn’t even bring it back, even if we wanted to because the children of today and their parents would not allow it. For discipline to be installed again in school and at home, boot camp would be the best deterrent – if a child does something that is against the law, then it should be off to military boot camp you go because we now have feral children on the streets and it will only get worse!
And now our police on the streets are losing control and our politicians are losing control of their senses.
The trouble is we have had a generation of poorly disciplined children, and now their children and this entire problem began with the end of discipline in schools, and it’s steadily continued to the point of, this is where we are now. Where it has become an offence to chastise your own children even in your own home. The justification was that some people might go too far with the discipline. Well, believe me, those who would go too far would do so whether it be legal or illegal!
You can’t even smack your child without fear that the police and social services might end up at your doorstep, therefore, parents literally have no control over their children, and the children know this and use it against them, ‘saying if you touch me, I’ll get the police and social services onto you and you’ll get arrested.’ When my children were younger, if they threatened me, I would just give them the phone and say ‘Of you go then, phone them.’
Children are becoming feral and attacking people on the streets because parents no longer have the means to discipline them. This is also the reason that many young couples decide against starting a family since they understand that this is not the right environment in which to raise kids. An increasing number of couples that I see do not want to have children because they do not want them to grow up in a violent society. Once upon a time, domestic violence was a common occurrence; today, it is not only in the home but on the streets as well, and it is accepted as a normal aspect of life and society!
