NPAS Hampshire: We Don’t Just Catch The Bad Guys; We Give ‘Em A Hard Time!

So, we’re in Hampshire, and a police helicopter trying to locate some criminals ends up with some smoke signals in the sky that looked exactly like an enormous floating cock. Honestly, you couldn’t make this shit up if you tried.

It wasn’t done deliberately; it was just one of those things that happened, but very funny indeed.

I once had a very tall lava lamp, and when I turned it on, the lava would have to melt first, and that ended up looking like a very nice cock as well – my grandchildren were in hysterics. It really did brighten up a very boring day.

It really elevates the whole situation from a simple “helicopter noise” complaint to an elite tier of petty suburban drama. The only reason the world knows about this sky-shlong is that one incredibly sleep-deprived, furious dad decided to investigate.

If Gordon Bird had just done what normal people do—stare at the ceiling, sigh heavily, and try to block out the noise—those pilots would have landed back at base completely oblivious to the legendary masterpiece they’d just painted across the Hampshire sky.

The Midnight Detective. It’s 11:00 PM on a Monday. The windows are rattling. Gordon’s two-year-old daughter is awake and crying. He is absolutely fuming. He logs onto a flight-tracking app, fully prepared to write a sternly worded email about tax pounds and noise pollution.

He opens the map, ready to track a standard patrol route, only to watch a giant, glowing, digital phallus slowly materialise directly over his house in real time. Suddenly, his noise complaint turns into an art critique.

Because Gordon didn’t let it slide, some poor, highly professional PR officer at the National Police Air Service (NPAS) had to sit down at a computer and formally draft a press release using words like “tactical manoeuvring,” “dynamic loops,” and “unfortunate coincidence” to explain why their helicopter drew a massive Willie.

Gordon wanted to bust them for wasting fuel; instead, he accidentally exposed the most glorious, accidental aerial prank in Hampshire history.

The internet reacted exactly how you’d expect: with absolute, unbridled joy and an avalanche of terrible puns.

Law enforcement and emergency services accounts on social media immediately jumped on the story to mock the situation. The popular account UK Cop Humour on X posted a sarcastic breakdown mocking the idea that pilots should now have to pre-plan their emergency tracking to protect “delicate sensibilities.”

My vision on life is pretty broad, therefore I like to address specific subjects that intrigue me. Therefore I really appreciate the world of politics, though I have no actual views on who I will vote for, that I will not tell you, so please do not ask! I am like an observation station when it comes to writing, and I simply take the news and make it my own. I have no expectations, I simply love to write, and I know this seems really odd, but I don't get paid for it, I really like what I do and since I am never under any pressure, I constantly find that I write much better, rather than being blanketed under masses of paperwork and articles that I am on a deadline to complete. The chances are, that whilst all other journalists are out there, ripping their hair out, attempting to get their articles completed, I'm simply rambling along at my convenience creating my perfect piece. I guess it must look pretty unpleasant to some of you that I work for nothing, perhaps even brutal. Perhaps I have an obvious disregard for authority, I have no idea, but I would sooner be working for myself, than under somebody else, excuse the pun! Small I maybe, but substantial I will become, eventually. My desk is the most chaotic mess, though surprisingly I know where everything is, and I think that I would be quite unsuited for a desk job. My views on matters vary and I am extremely open-minded to the stuff that I write about, but what I write about is the truth and getting it out there, because the people must be acquainted. Though I am quite entertained by what goes on in the world. My spotlight is mostly to do with politics, though I do write other material as well, but it's essentially politics that I am involved in, and I tend to concentrate my attention on that, however, information is essential. If you have information the possibilities are endless because you are only limited by your own imagination...
