Laila Stanhope from Basildon, Essex was due to be sent Amazon vouchers from the Emily Ash Trust which was originally set up to raise awareness of the need for bone marrow donors.
The trust has now evolved and today their primary aim is to support families who have a child, teenager or young adult with cancer.
Laila Stanhope has a brain tumour and the charity had sent her £400 worth of vouchers. The vouchers had been sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery which had to be signed for, but instead, they never reached the little girl and it was signed by someone else.
So, out there is some advantageous reprobate who’s now using the vouchers that should have been used to buy new bedroom furniture for Laila’s room.
Laila Stanhope has a brain tumour and is undergoing chemotherapy and is wheelchair-bound.
Three years ago Laila had a bleed on the brain, then a year and a half later a brain tumour was found, the bleed also paralysed her.
The trust is dealing with it, but if the person that took the vouchers has any compassion, you will recognise your signature and Laila would be very happy if you could return the vouchers or the money that the vouchers were worth. This is a shocking thing that you did this to a little girl who is extremely sick – shame on you!
