Forever Wars Keep Profits High And Populations Compliant

The primary purpose of continuous warfare in George Orwell’s 1984 is not to defeat a foreign adversary, but rather to serve as a permanent economic and psychological tool for the ruling Party to purposefully consume surplus goods, artificially maintain a state of poverty, and keep the population trapped in a cycle of fear and ignorance that prevents them from ever questioning or overturning the established social hierarchy.

The slogan “War is Peace” reinforces this concept by creating a psychological paradox where a society kept in a permanent state of external conflict achieves absolute internal stability, as the constant threat of a foreign enemy unites the populace in a shared fear that blinds them to their own oppression and ensures they willingly surrender their minds to the ruling Party.

The specific mechanics of doublethink function by forcing a person to simultaneously hold two contradictory beliefs in their mind and accept both of them as completely true, which operates through precise cognitive mechanisms like “crimestop” to automatically halt dangerous, heretical thoughts, “controlled forgetting” to erase inconvenient historical facts from conscious memory, and “blackwhite” to fanatically believe that black is white purely out of political loyalty, altogether requiring citizens to consciously manipulate reality while completely forgetting the act of tampering so they remain genuinely convinced of their own absolute honesty.

The Ministry of Truth enforces this mental manipulation daily by employing a massive bureaucratic apparatus dedicated to the systematic destruction and immediate rewriting of all historical records, newspapers, books, and photographs to ensure that the Party is always viewed as infallible and omniscient, while simultaneously introducing Newspeak to progressively shrink the vocabulary of the population so that the very concepts needed to formulate a rebellious or heretical thought will eventually cease to exist entirely.

This perpetual rotation of conflict is exactly what military-industrial complexes and arms manufacturers rely on to maintain endless profitability, functioning as a macabre “Warfare On Tour” where the goal is never to achieve a permanent peace that would collapse their multi-billion-dollar markets, but rather to strategically shift theatre operations from one global region to another so that weapons stocks are constantly depleted, re-ordered, and upgraded under the guise of shifting geopolitical threats.

Modern corporate branding and defence industry public relations facilitate this “Warfare On Tour” by replacing old-fashioned, overt warmongering with highly sanitised, focus-grouped vocabulary like “regional stabilisation,” “deterrence architectures,” and “freedom of navigation” to rebrand the physical movement of conflict zones as a proactive humanitarian intervention rather than a calculated corporate strategy designed to stimulate new defence contracts and maintain market expansion.

The specific think tanks and corporate structures that lobby for these shifting conflict zones function through a highly coordinated, multi-million-dollar “pay-to-play” pipeline where the world’s largest weapons manufacturers—such as Lockheed Martin, RTX, and Northrop Grumman—explicitly bankroll influential, often non-disclosing foreign policy institutes like the Atlantic Council, CNAS, and CSIS to publish heavily biased research and media narratives that systematically inflate foreign threats, rationalise increased military spending, and directly justify the lucrative relocation of military operations to new global theatres.

The “revolving door” phenomenon functions as a highly influential, self-reinforcing closed-loop ecosystem where retired military commanders, high-ranking Pentagon procurement officials, and corporate board executives seamlessly cycle between public service, private defence contractors, and major think tanks to exploit their insider relationships, secure multi-billion-dollar government weapons contracts for their new private employers, and author corporate-funded policy briefs that deliberately inflate foreign threats to ensure the overarching national security consensus remains locked into continuous military spending and the profitable rotation of global conflict zones.

My vision on life is pretty broad, therefore I like to address specific subjects that intrigue me. Therefore I really appreciate the world of politics, though I have no actual views on who I will vote for, that I will not tell you, so please do not ask! I am like an observation station when it comes to writing, and I simply take the news and make it my own. I have no expectations, I simply love to write, and I know this seems really odd, but I don't get paid for it, I really like what I do and since I am never under any pressure, I constantly find that I write much better, rather than being blanketed under masses of paperwork and articles that I am on a deadline to complete. The chances are, that whilst all other journalists are out there, ripping their hair out, attempting to get their articles completed, I'm simply rambling along at my convenience creating my perfect piece. I guess it must look pretty unpleasant to some of you that I work for nothing, perhaps even brutal. Perhaps I have an obvious disregard for authority, I have no idea, but I would sooner be working for myself, than under somebody else, excuse the pun! Small I maybe, but substantial I will become, eventually. My desk is the most chaotic mess, though surprisingly I know where everything is, and I think that I would be quite unsuited for a desk job. My views on matters vary and I am extremely open-minded to the stuff that I write about, but what I write about is the truth and getting it out there, because the people must be acquainted. Though I am quite entertained by what goes on in the world. My spotlight is mostly to do with politics, though I do write other material as well, but it's essentially politics that I am involved in, and I tend to concentrate my attention on that, however, information is essential. If you have information the possibilities are endless because you are only limited by your own imagination...
