Trafalgar Square Is The Scene Of A Controlled Explosion By Police

Police carried out a controlled explosion in Trafalgar Square this morning, after evacuating the public in a security scare, hours before thousands were set to gather at Party At The Palace.

Police tape could be seen in video footage shared from the London site, with officers diverting cars and people after receiving a call about a suspect vehicle.

The force finally gave the all-clear and confirmed that the incident wasn’t terrorism-related.

The police carried out a controlled explosion, with people reporting a loud bang after a suspicious vehicle had been discovered.

The road was closed off and pedestrians were told to get out of the area.

The Trafalgar St. James hotel was also evacuated, and the front of the National Gallery, overlooking the square was locked.

Catherine Strina told a newspaper outlet that she’d journeyed to London for the Jubilee concert in the evening.

She said that they were in the Trafalgar Square area and then discovered something was going on, and the police told them all that they couldn’t go any further. They then heard an explosion so just ran and that it was extremely scary.

She said it was very frightening and they all just ran to Charing Cross station and waited outside, and that there was an extremely loud bang.

A journalist at the scene, Jon Hansen, said on Twitter that he was rushed out of The Trafalgar St. James hotel, and he said that vehicle was left out overnight, and he saw all four windows of the car smashed out, and they were told they were waiting for a controlled explosion.

He said that they rushed them down the street and that when they got to the other side of Trafalgar, around the back, they heard a loud explosion.

He said that there was no panic and that the police kept moving people back.

He wrote that the police appeared to have it under control and that the hotel staff had told them they wanted them all out before the police detonated the suspicious vehicle or possibly a package inside of it. Others also reported hearing a deafening bang.

Westminster Police on Twitter said that officers were presently at Trafalgar Square where they’d vacated the scene and asked people not to travel to the area.

After the incident police remained at the scene, and later on the square was reopened.

Of course, safety should be extremely high in matters like this, and it’s the police who are there to keep us safe, and we should praise their commitment and professionalism. The scary thing is that this weekend’s festivities were an ideal opportunity for terrorism – a fact that we all have to face, and it’s great that the police were on top of it before anything bad transpired.

Unfortunately, security is only as good as the eyes and ears on the ground and also the alert entourage in the control rooms monitoring CCTV cameras.

It could have been seen as an overreaction, but what if that vehicle had been packed with explosives? It could have been primed to detonate later that evening when the masses were making their way to the party, and it could have been a bloodbath, and this is why security is so important.

I suspect that whoever’s vehicle it was is going to regret parking it there, and they’re going to get a massive surprise when they go back for their vehicle, but we should all be grateful that there were no fatalities.

Rishi Sunak Backs Drive To Get More People Off Benefits

Chancellor Rishi Sunak is preparing to crack the whip to get more people back to work by allocating them work coach meetings to get them off benefits.

Government data shows in some places one in five people are claiming benefits.

As a result of these figures, Rishi Sunak and Work and Pensions secretary Therese Coffey want to increase the number of unemployed people who see a work coach.

Areas such as Blackpool, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Liverpool and Birmingham have between 20 and 25.5 per cent of the working-age population claiming benefits.

The existing rules allow people to sidestep meeting a work coach if they work for at least nine hours a week.

The Government wants to remove this barrier to get more people back into full-time work.

And according to a newspaper outlet, claimants would meet a work coach every other week in order to be helped find extra hours or maybe a full-time position.

However, there are fears that expanding the role of job coaches would bring extra expenses.

New figures reveal that the UK labour market has shed hundreds of thousands of people since the beginning of the COVID 19 pandemic, with a growing number of more senior workers choosing to give up their careers.

A total of 32.5 million people were at work in the three months to February this year, down from 33.1 million in the same period two years earlier.

The transformation has been driven by an increasing number of people becoming economically dormant, meaning they’re of working age but aren’t now pursuing employment.

This could be because they’ve taken early retirement, are looking after a family or home, or are long term sick.

According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the number of economically inactive working-age people in the United Kingdom stood at 8.9 million in the three months to February.

This is up 76,000 on the previous quarter and a leap of almost half a million in the three months to February 2020.

The rate of economic dormancy among more senior workers has climbed to its highest level in six years.

A total of 27.2 per cent of people aged 50 to 64 were classed as economically stagnant in the latest quarter, compared with 25.2 per cent at the beginning of the pandemic.

The last time the rate stood any higher was in the three months to February 2016.

A lot of working people are now hanging onto their benefits by working 16 hours or less, but who can blame them if the Government doesn’t make working worth it, then people won’t want to go to work or will work the 16 hours just so they can afford their prescription drugs and still get housing benefit.

And for all those disabled people that could work if the workplace was suitable for them and they could get to work on the train, buses and tubes, well please Rishi Sunak help all disabled people who can work get jobs and force employers to help those out that can work, and Rishi if you’re not willing to do that, then don’t insist that they can.

Also, stop letting migrants into our country because those that do get in will work for less money and longer hours so that they can send it home to their families, so what chance have the British people got?

Unless the British person doesn’t earn massively good wages, then they get assistance from the Government for low earners and so on. Many claimants are working but their salaries are so low they’re topped up with benefits because if they weren’t then they wouldn’t be able to pay their rent, bills et cetera and would end up on the streets, and we have enough people out on the streets as it is without adding any more to the list.

When Harry And Meghan Arrived At St Paul’s, They Were Booed

The Duchess of Sussex dazzled in a white ensemble as she arrived at St Paul’s Cathedral alongside Prince Harry to attend the service of thanksgiving for the Queen’s reign.

Meghan and Harry smiled widely as they exited their car and wandered up the stairs of the London cathedral. However, they were welcomed with diverse feelings by members of the public lined up outside the grand cathedral, and as reported by Sky News broadcasters, the pair were greeted by a mixture of cheers and boos.

Nonetheless, the couple continued to smile while stepping inside and while being welcomed by clergymen in attendance.

The couple held hands and seemed affectionate and in high spirits while taking their seats, and while the pair were strolling down the centre of the cathedral, Sky News broadcaster Rhiannon Mills briefly addressed the relationship between the Sussexes and the rest of the Firm by speaking of a huge coldness, and she invariably said how they love and respect the Queen.

She said the fact it was suggested they didn’t tell the Queen about their plans to step away from royal life was seen as an enormous snub to a woman that many of us hold in such high regard.

Meghan and Harry stressed during their interview with Oprah Winfrey last year they didn’t in any way blindside the Queen with their decision to leave the Royal Family but said he rejected accusations, and that he took the monarch by surprise with the statement released in January 2020 about the Sussexes’ intention to carve out a new role for themselves, and that he’d raised his plans to her in late 2019 and was meant to discuss them in person upon his return to England from Canada in early 2020.

During the service, Meghan and Harry sat near Jack Brooksbank and Princess Eugenie, with whom they share a close friendship.

On the other hand, the Sussexes were metres apart from Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. This was probably due to the royal pecking order.

The Prince of Wales is the highest-ranking member of the Firm that was in attendance. The Queen pulled out of the service after experiencing some discomfort during Trooping the Colour on Thursday.

It appears that most people want to attack Meghan Markle, which is senseless and people should quit doing this, but most people want to make it about her because perhaps they have nothing else better to do with their time, and we should be letting the Sussexes see their family in peace, it’s their business, not ours.

Of course, they did get some cheers from people who were indeed thrilled to see them. Perhaps it should have been better reported how Boris Johnson got booed as well.

Although after all of this, I bet the Sussexes can’t wait to get back to America? At least Harry made it to his mother’s Jubilee.

The problem this has been made into a media circus, but to make it clear Harry didn’t leave his family, he just stepped back from his Royal responsibilities. Numerous people migrate to other places, but they don’t truly leave their families behind, they’ve just moved away. Harry is still part of his family by blood, but he just doesn’t want to live in their pockets 24/7.

However, we don’t all blame our families for unbelievable acts publicly and then rejoin the same family grinning.

NEWS FLASH – JOHNNY DEPP

Johnny Depp has struggled with alcoholism and addiction for much of his life. He even said that he started using drugs by taking his mother’s nerve pills at the age of 11, was smoking at the age of 12 years old and by the age of 14 he’d used every kind of drug that there was.

And in a 1997 interview, Johnny Depp acknowledged past abuse of alcohol during the filming of What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? (1993), and in a 2008 interview, Johnny Depp stated that he’d poisoned himself with alcohol for years, but in 2013, Johnny Depp stated that he’d quit drinking alcohol, adding that he pretty much got everything he could out of it.

Johnny Depp also said that he investigated wine and spirits thoroughly, and they certainly investigated him as well and that they got along with each other beautifully, although maybe a little too well.

But when he split up with longtime partner Vanessa Paradis, Johnny Depp said that he definitely wasn’t going to depend on the drink to relieve things or soften the blow or cushion the problem because that could have been disastrous.

However, according to his ex-wife, Amber Heard, Johnny Depp plunged into the depth of paranoia and violence after binging on drugs and alcohol during their relationship between 2013 and 2016, and in a 2018 Rolling Stone profile of Johnny Depp, reporter Stephen Rodrick wrote that he’d used hashish in his company and described him as alternately hilarious, sly and incoherent.

During his 2020 libel trial, Johnny Depp admitted to having been addicted to Roxicodone and alcohol as well as other substances such as MDMA and cocaine during his relationship with Amber Heard.

A High Court was shown a video of Johnny Depp smashing up a kitchen and tossing a wine bottle in an intoxicated frenzy at Amber Heard, whilst he tells her ‘You wanna see crazy? I’ll give you f—ing crazy’, but he denied ever hitting her.

We all know that alcohol can make us act in a way that we wouldn’t normally, including making us more angry or aggressive, and that alcohol can induce different emotional responses for different people.

Cocaine can also make you agitated, give you paranoia, hallucinations, delusions, and make you volatile. It can also induce suicidal and homicidal thinking, and other narcotics can cause similar effects.

We will never actually know whether Johnny Depp hit Amber Heard, or that his drug and alcohol consumption cause egomaniacal behaviour, but we do know that alcohol and drug use can cause these behaviours.

Maybe he did, maybe he didn’t but clearly, these two should have never been together in the first place. It’s just a case of he did that or she done this, and we will never truly get to the bottom of it, but clearly, the court didn’t believe Amber Heard, but generally, if there has been abuse in the relationship, abusers go onto abuse again.

Johnny Depp was seen in the clip trashing the kitchen, but not touching Amber Heard, but even so, this is not the behaviour of a rational person, something is indeed amiss.

We see all these glamorous couples smiling in magazines and we all feel a tad jealous, but you never know what goes on behind closed doors, and let’s face it, Johnny Depp hasn’t been that glamorous for at least two decades.

But whether he launched a bottle in the kitchen or anywhere else, it’s all destructive behaviour which develops over time, and sometimes what wasn’t acceptable to you a year ago becomes the norm, and of course, he didn’t start out like this, but as all his craziness goes on he will need to feel more and more in control, and once it starts it’s like a drug.

GPs Still Refuse To See Patients Face-To-Face. What Could Possibly Justify This?

Helen Leaford, 62, from Basingstoke was falling over and suffering dizzy spells, but her GP advised her to use ear drops and get used to being off balance, but instead, she borrowed money from friends and went to see a private doctor. The £300 doctor said she needed an urgent MRI scan to diagnose the problem.

Pinned to the door of a GP surgery on a leafy residential road in suburban Sidcup, Kent is a handwritten message, attached to the interior of the window saying, ‘Please don’t punch or kick the door.’ But a statement such as this is indeed shocking, but it speaks volumes about the increasingly fractured relationship between the public and the people working in one of the nation’s most trusted professions, the family doctor.

There has been a litany of problems that people have experienced trying to access their GP during the pandemic, and now it appears, that little has changed.

Practices were forced to swiftly adopt new ways of working after the Government urged them to increase the use of phone and video appointments, a necessary step needed to lessen the spread of infection among patients in waiting rooms and to protect staff during the first wave of COVID.

However, there are now concerns because there have been reports that some practices have all but shut up shop and are not seeing patients at all in person, and in some cases even getting a phone call from your GP is almost impossible and multiple patients are going under the radar and are not being treated correctly, and now trying to get into your surgery to see your GP is almost like trying to break into prison instead of out of one.

The situation still remains so serious that patients are being forced to go to A&E because they can’t get an appointment with their doctors, and some patients haven’t had blood pressure or a diabetes check-up for 18 months, and some patients with blood in their urine, intense ongoing stomach pain, unusual swellings under the skin and significant, unintentional weight loss were all offered telephone appointments only, despite repeated requests to see a doctor.

And many patients have told their stories anonymously, for fear of being blacklisted by practices for making complaints.

Under pandemic guidance, practices were advised to screen patients remotely first, a process known as triage, either in a telephone call with a receptionist or via an online form to determine whether they need a telephone appointment with a GP or could be dealt with by a nurse or pharmacist.

But there’s just no reason for so much of our lives being destroyed, it’s disgraceful.

How on earth can a GP examine someone over the phone, it’s utterly stupid, and some people are now selling off stuff to pay for a private diagnosis.

Boris Johnson should now demand that GPs who refuse to see patients shouldn’t be paid, then I’m quite sure the issue would resolve very quickly because they definitely shouldn’t be handed out bonuses for a job that they’re not doing, but that’s not going to happen because the Government are too weak to challenge anyone, and that’s why we’re in the state that we’re in now, but then the Government want to get rid of the NHS, so they don’t care either.

Our GPs have been missing in action, and some have a locked door policy with some receptionists who have been turning people away, and lots of patients who have had phone appointments have been incorrectly diagnosed, and have then finished up in hospital.

Some surgeries have even turned off their phone system and then if you go down there to see someone, you’re told to go and see a pharmacist. This is a national disgrace that will be remembered for decades.

An 83-Year-Old Man Dies After Becoming Trapped

A coroner has concluded that the death of a retired police officer whose head became trapped between the rails and mattress of his hospital bed was an avoidable accident.

Max Dingle, 83, died 15 minutes after he was discovered trapped in a ward at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital on May 3, 2020.

Concluding an inquest into Surrey born Max Dingle’s demise, a senior coroner found resuscitation hadn’t been attempted despite the pensioner electing for life-saving intervention and having a pulse when he was discovered.

Earlier this month, Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust, which runs the hospital, was fined £1,333,334 for failing to supply safe care to Max Dingle and another patient, whose case is not connected and who died in different circumstances.

Senior coroner John Ellery said Max Dingle, of Powys in mid-Wales, was initially admitted to the hospital with shortness of breath on April 27, 2020.

His medical records revealed he suffered from a heart condition, lymphoedema and sleep apnoea.

The coroner said that Max Dingle remained in the hospital until May 3, at 10 am, when he was discovered with his head trapped between the rails and mattress of his hospital bed.

The coroner said that Max Dingle had suffered a cardiac arrest, from which resuscitation wasn’t attempted, and he died at 10.15 am.

Nobody from the Hospital Trust attended the hearing but family members, including Max Dingle’s son Phil, dialled in from Australia.

Mr Ellery said an initial post mortem examination gave the cause of death as heart disease and didn’t consider the entrapment caused or contributed to Mr Dingle’s demise.

However, Mr Dingle’s son didn’t accept those conclusions and instead, commissioned expert consultant forensic pathologist Johan Duflou, from the University of Sydney, to review the findings and post mortem examination.

Professor Duflou gave the cause of death of entrapment with positional asphyxiation.

Mr Ellery said that after comparing and discussing their findings, both pathologists then agreed entrapment did play a considerable part in the cause of death.

An inquest was opened and adjourned while separate criminal proceedings against the NHS trust were carried out by health watchdog the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

The criminal inquiry ended this month after the trust admitted failings in connection with the care of two patients, including Max Dingle.

Concluding the inquest, Mr Ellery said that based on all the evidence, the findings of the inquest were that Max Dingle’s death was an avoidable accident.

I guess the moral of the story is don’t get ill and end up in the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, or anywhere else in the United Kingdom, especially if you’re over the age of fifty because the NHS is a disgrace, and then you get the default response from the NHS that ‘lessons have been learned’, unfortunately, they never are. Still clapping for the NHS, are we?

And it’s a sorry state of affairs when you’re safer at home than in the hospital.

Was there no one else on the ward to sound the alarm?

The trouble is that once you get past a certain age, you are deemed expendable to free up a bed. I’m surprised they’re not offering out lethal doses of morphine to speed things up.

The original coroner didn’t think that it played a part, which means that if Mr Dingle’s family didn’t have the funds to seek a private investigation this would have just been swept under the rug and disappeared. It doesn’t give you much faith in our health system, does it?

The poor man must have been in pain and awfully distressed with his head entrapped in the bed rail, yet nobody noticed, or did they just turn a blind eye?

Protection For Prince Harry’s Family While In The UK For Jubilee Is Guaranteed

Prince Harry received cast-iron assurances his family will be protected by specialist police when he touches down in the UK.

The Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle are flying in from California with their own personal security detail but will become the Metropolitan Police’s responsibility when they disembark.

It will be only the second time Meghan Markle has returned to the United Kingdom in more than two years since the couple dramatically quit their royal positions in 2020.

The couple are bringing their two children Archie, three, and Lilibet, who turns one on Saturday.

Security sources have revealed the Met’s Royalty and Specialist Protection unit has spent weeks liaising with the Prince’s team and guaranteed taxpayer-funded officers.

Harry, 37, has been embroiled in a legal row with the Government over a Home Office decision to strip him of his UK security.

Lawyers for the Duke, who fled to Canada and later set up home in the US seeking financial independence, told the High Court he was unable to return home over fears it’s too risky.

Sources close to the Sussex camp said Harry was always in favour of returning to the United Kingdom for the celebrations.

The Duke even later made an offer to pay the Met for the protection of fully trained officers but was told they were not guns for hire.

In the US, the family are protected by a rotating 24-hour unit, understood to consist of up to 12 former special forces personnel and highly trained armed security professionals.

A source close to the Sussex camp said that for Harry, this has always been about protecting his family and that he’s been in regular communication with the applicable parties and made it extremely clear that he wouldn’t travel without obtaining cast-iron assurances over the safety of his family.

And he’s satisfied the right procedures are in place and they’re all very much looking forward to this week’s celebrations and of course getting to spend time with Her Majesty.

Harry and Meghan in early April enjoyed a brief private meeting with the 96-year-old monarch and each a 15-minute meeting with Prince Charles before they rushed off to the Invictus Games in The Netherlands.

The Duke and Duchess promised Her Majesty they would bring the children to see her in the immediate future, but Harry days later provoked anger among senior royals when he told an American broadcaster that he flew in to meet the Queen ahead of a trip to The Hague to make sure she was protected and had got the right people around her.

The pair have not only ignored the wishes of most UK citizens, but they’re also coming across regardless and British taxpayers are having to foot the bill for their protection.

I do like Harry, but I don’t see why the British taxpayer should be footing the bill for them to come over to the United Kingdom. He decided to leave his royal duties and go to another country and to be completely independent, but it seems to be when it suits him.

Why should the people of this country be saddled with protecting millionaires and billionaires while the people of this country are struggling and our Government is borrowing against our children’s future, it’s all very wrong?

However, it’s fair to say that these two are going to need it once in the United Kingdom because they’re really not liked much and people appear to do crazy things these days, so it’s understandable if they don’t feel safe, but then if they don’t feel safe, stay where you are and save our taxpayers some money.

MIND THE GAP

A 76-year-old woman with a 19-year-old boyfriend has gone viral on TikTok.

They say true love has no age, and one couple, from Italy, definitely has skimmed past that, with an age gap of 56 years.

Recently, Giuseppe D’Anna, 19, took the internet by storm, after announcing he’d proposed to his girlfriend, who is 76.

In the clip, that’s been viewed over a whopping 16.1 million times on social media, the young man can be seen kneeling on his right knee with more than a dozen huge balloons in the form of a heart and passionately smooching the lady.

“La nostra promessa” read the caption alongside the viral video, which in English translates to “Our promise”.

The next photo displayed an adorable image of the two, with Giuseppe sporting what appeared to be a gold chain and the bride to be holding a rose.

The 19-year-old, who’s collected near to 190,000 fans on TikTok, also shared a picture of a gorgeous ring.

Although the two may be in love, not everyone was on the same wavelength, with many guessing the true reasons Giuseppe might be seeing the woman, with some thinking that he was pursuing her will, while others were convinced he wanted a Sony PlayStation 5.

And after finding out their age, Giuseppe’s fiancee was also called his grandma on several occasions. However, he appears to be profoundly in love, as he shot back, saying that his love was beautiful, but someone said that she was literally old enough to be his great great grandmother.

But it’s not all negative, as the couple has also managed to gain some supportive fans, like this TikTok user who said that they shouldn’t listen to the hate, date whoever makes you happy, and love who you feel is right for you.

This isn’t the first time a couple with an age gap has gone viral on social media.

Earlier last year, one US couple with a 24 year age gap, took the internet by storm, after announcing they were engaged.

Despite the nasty comments which saw the 61-year-old woman being called the man’s grandma, the couple said the sex chemistry was fantastic, and have even set up a page to share their saucier NSFW content.

It actually is no one else business and they should just leave them alone. The problem is too many people think they’re missing out on something.

The thing is, if it was an old man with a young woman, people probably wouldn’t bat an eyelid, but turn it around and it becomes everyone’s business. If the lady is happy, then who are we to comment on it.

We see a lot of sad-looking young couples, and I’m sure her family are taking care of her family estate if she even has one, and if they get married the lady could always get a prenup, which would definitely show whether he’s in for the big haul or not, otherwise, he will just go running with his tail between his legs.

But people should really stop with the offensive remarks, it will either work or it won’t, either way, it’s none of our business, it’s their business.

There are plenty of 76-year-old men with younger women, look at Hugh Hefner, he was known for it and nobody really cared about that. This woman should enjoy the remainder of her life the way that she wants. They’re both above the legal age of consent, so they should just be left alone.

As long as they’re both happy and he’s not after her money, and let’s hope that he is genuinely in love with her, but if he’s not then he’s the one waking up to a senior citizen every morning, not us!

Children Who Live In Shipping Containers

A leading welfare official said that thousands of children are living in shipping containers or flats built cheaply in old office blocks.

The Children’s Commissioner said that they’re among 124,000 children living in temporary accommodation arranged by councils after their families became homeless.

Anne Longfield said children in homeless families were frequently put up in short term housing that’s dangerous, not fit to live in and usually far away from other family members, friends and schools.

But her report said only a minority of children in temporary accommodation remained there for long, and that three out of five had been found new homes with their families within six months, and only one in 20, about 6,000 children, were in temporary accommodation for a year or more.

Miss Longfield called on the Government to establish a large scale housebuilding programme, and she said that something had gone extremely wrong with the housing system when children were growing up in B&Bs, shipping containers and old office blocks.

She said that children had told them of the disruptive and at times frightening impact this can have on their lives and that it’s a disgrace that a nation as prosperous as ours is leaving tens of thousands of families in temporary accommodation for extended periods of time.

It’s believed there are more than 210,000 homeless children in England, of whom 124,000 are on the official homeless register and living in temporary housing, and a further 90,000 said to be sofa surfing families living with relatives or friends.

Housing Ministry figures say that of homeless people helped by councils last summer, six out of ten were single adults, while a further 26 per cent were lone-parent families and 8 per cent were couples with children.

Miss Longfield’s report said a recent development has been the repurposing of shipping containers, and that the units were typically one or two bedrooms and small in size, meaning that overcrowding can be a problem and that they could become hot in summer and too cold in the winter.

The report warned that households slipping behind on rent or mortgage payments could put another 375,000 children in England in danger of homelessness in the coming years.

The Local Government Association, the umbrella body for councils, said that the extreme shortage of social rented homes available, means councils have no option but to put families into temporary accommodation, including, in emergencies, bed and breakfasts.

The more serious problem is the lack of ventilation these buildings have which is causing mould and overheating, but these people don’t have a choice. On the other hand, I guess it’s better than sleeping on the streets, or in a run-down hostel.

These containers seem useful as a temporary measure but not for long term use, and they’re not just being used to house immigrants, they’re being used to house British people as well, each one still faces the same issues.

Sadly though the land of milk and honey is running out of milk and honey, and the containers aren’t great, but then beggars can’t be choosers, it’s that simple.

Charles Manson follower ‘Big Patty’ could be freed after spending 50 years behind bars

Patricia Krenwinkel, a defendant in the Tate murder case, enters the Los Angeles superior court for arraignment, which was postponed, to Feb. 24, 1970.

The Charles Manson follower known as Big Patty has been recommended for release after more than five decades behind bars.

Patricia Krenwinkel, 74, has been refused parole 14 times for the murders of pregnant actress Sharon Tate and four other people in 1969.

She helped kill grocer Leno LaBianca and his wife Rosemary the next night, using their blood to scribble ‘Helter Skelter’, ‘Rise’ and ‘Death to Pigs’ on the walls.

Krenwinkel claimed her actions came after Manson told her to do something ‘witchy’.

The recent recommendation by California’s parole board is the closest Krenwinkel has been to release.

The decision is likely to go to Governor Gavin Newsom for a definitive decision who’s previously denied parole requests for other followers of Manson, who died in prison aged 83 in 2017.

New laws since Krenwinkel was last refused parole in 2017 require the panel to consider that she committed the murders at a young age, 21, and is now an elderly inmate.

She claimed in 2017 that she was affected by battered women’s syndrome when she assisted in the bloody killings by the Manson Family cult.

Krenwinkel’s attorney Keith Wattley said his client was no longer a threat to society and added that she was completely transformed.

Krenwinkel was a 19-year-old secretary when she first encountered Manson, then 33, at a party, but the fact is the victims are still dead so there should be no parole, ever.

She met Charles Manson in Manhatten Beach in 1967, along with Lynette Fromme and Mary Brunner.

In later interviews, Krenwinkel stated that she had sex with Manson the first night they met and that he was the first person who told her she was beautiful.

Mesmerised by Manson’s allure and starved for attention, she chose to go to San Francisco with him and the other two girls, leaving behind her apartment, car, and last paycheck.

As the Manson Family grew, Katie, as Krenwinkel was now known and the others went on a drug and sex-filled 18-month tour of the American west in an old school bus.

She said they were just like wood nymphs and wood creatures and that they would run through the woods with flowers in their hair, and that Charles would have a small flute.

In the summer of 1968, Krenwinkel and fellow Family member Ella Bailey were hitchhiking around Los Angeles when Beach Boys founding member and drummer Dennis Wilson picked them up.

After being invited to his home while he continued on to a recording session, Krenwinkel and Bailey were able to contact the Family and tell them of their new crash pad.

When Wilson returned later that evening, he discovered Manson and the rest of the Family eating his food, sleeping in his bedrooms, and partying inside and outside his home. The group ended up staying for several months forcing Wilson into financial difficulties, but later Manson and the rest of the Family left his mansion.

Krenwinkel was a participant in the murders on August 9, 1969, at 10050 Cielo Drive, home of actress Sharon Tate and her husband, director Roman Polanski.

After stabbing Abigail Folger, Krenwinkel went back inside and summoned Tex Watson, who also stabbed Folger.

During her trial, Krenwinkel said that she stabbed her and kept stabbing her, and when asked how it felt, she responded that she felt nothing.

Krenwinkel participated willingly in more murders the following night, and along with Manson, Watson, Atkins, Clem Grogan, Leslie Van Houen and Linda Kasabian, Krenwinkel went to the home of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca where Krenwinkel, Watson and Van Houten killed the couple.

The Tate-LaBianca killings were a string of murders committed by members of the Manson Family during August 8-10, 1969, in Los Angeles, California, United States, under the leadership of Tex Watson and Charles Manson.

The perpetrators first slaughtered five people on the night of August 8-9 – pregnant actress Sharon Tate and her friends Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, Wojciech Frykowski, and Steven Parent.

The child that Sharon Tate was pregnant with later perished of asphyxiation in Tate’s womb.

Manson was allegedly dissatisfied with the messy operation of those slayings, and after, the Family then also killed supermarket executive Leno LaBianca and his wife Rosemary in the Los Feliz section of Los Angeles.

Sharon Tate’s baby, if still alive would have been younger than me, and what might have been if she was alive now, but instead it was a life that was taken away, and this should strike terror in people because this kind of thing could easily happen again, and Krenwinkel should never be freed from prison because fifty years for the deaths of five people and an unborn child just isn’t enough.

It’s fair to say that Krenwinkel could have been transformed in jail, but nevertheless, she still couldn’t have paid her debt to society, especially when you’re taking the life of another human being and she should be kept in prison.

And let’s face it after spending all that time in jail she would have no understanding of how our current society has changed over the years and how to support herself.

She killed an unborn child and its mother. The child would be 50 years old now if the baby were still alive, so Krenwinkel serves no purpose in our society and it would be better that she stay in prison knowing that she has lived longer than those whose lives she took.
