Madeleine McCann’s Parents Say Their Hope, Strength And Resolve Remains

The parents of Madeleine McCann have said in a New Year message that their hope, strength and perseverance to find their daughter remains steadfast.

And in a message posted on the Official Find Madeleine Campaign website, Kate and Gerry McCann said their thoughts and prayers were with everyone who’s suffered during 2020.

The statement, which thanked well-wishers, said goodbye to 2020. What a year, and one we don’t want to remember but will find it difficult to forget, and it said there was no doubt that 2020 had been difficult for most people, and often distressing, with so much loss, fear and solitariness.

And that despite losing a parent each, they were aware they had been more fortunate than many, with their family unit at home and jobs to go to.

The couple, from Rothley in Leicestershire, acknowledged the investigation to locate Madeleine had understandably been forced to slow down as a consequence of the pandemic.

And they added that it hadn’t ceased, nevertheless, the hope, strength and perseverance to find her and discover the truth remained steadfast, and they said that they were extremely grateful for the ongoing support, especially throughout the rubbish year that everybody has had and for all the Christmas wishes too.

They said that their thoughts and prayers were with everyone who’s suffered due to the pandemic and they hoped that 2021 was a more optimistic, more cheerful one.

Madeleine was almost four when she went missing from her family’s holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, on Portugal’s Algarve, on May 3, 2007, but Scotland Yard confirmed it had no plans to end its missing person investigation, despite the view of German prosecutors that Madeleine was killed.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Dame Cressida Dick said the force was working closely with the German authorities but didn’t expect them to communicate all of their evidence.

A suspect in the German inquiry, Christian Brueckner, was told last November that he will remain behind bars until 2026, after losing a bid to overturn a rape conviction.

He was last year found guilty of the 2005 rape of a 72-year-old American woman in the same Portuguese resort and condemned to seven years in prison, at a court in Brunswick, Lower Saxony.

The 43-year-old German national, referred to as Christian B in Germany due to the country’s stringent privacy laws, was identified as a suspect in the Madeleine investigation last June.

But what parent in their right mind leaves their four-year-old daughter in a room to go out to eat? And was this not total neglect? However, we can’t say anything about the parents that they’ve not said to themselves, presumably over and over again, and they’ve paid an extreme price for their blunder.

Years ago most holidaymakers used to leave their children in chalets and caravans and you had people called a chalet patrol go round listening to see if they’d heard any of the children up or crying.

They used to have a tannoy system that would let you know if children were awake. It was equivalent to a baby monitor we have now.

It was just an acceptable thing so that grown-ups could enjoy some adult recreation and children could get some rest.

People and children should be safe on holiday and you definitely don’t expect a murderer to be watching you and waiting to pounce.

It’s very sad what happened, but some might say that this child has been tagged as special, yet there are children out there that have been abducted or worse, every day, yet you don’t see those being dragged on for years and years.

But we should welcome the time, attention and money given to this case because it allows for a significant improvement in how these cases are handled and lessons learnt.

Dog Walker Suffers Anaphylactic Shock

A woman with a severe allergy had to go to the hospital after she was pelted with eggs while walking her dog in Coventry.

The 40-year-old was with a friend when two men in a white van drove by them and tossed the eggs which struck both of them.

The victim instantly suffered an anaphylactic shock and her daughter had to run to find them in Brownshill Green Road and give her mum her EpiPen.

The incident happened between the garden centre and the residential home near Waste Lane at around 12.15 pm on Wednesday, December 30.

The woman, who’s a teacher and didn’t wish to be named told CoventryLive that she meets her friend regularly to walk their dogs together and they were in Brownshill Green Road when they felt something hitting them and there was a van going past with two men in their 20s pelting eggs.

She said that they weren’t too far from her partner’s house and her daughter was there so she ran down to them with the EpiPen, and she said that she took off her coat and removed as much clothing as she could that had the egg on it.

She said that they then walked back and they could see several eggs on both sides of the road, so they’d clearly tried to get other people as well.

She said that her eyes were watering so much that she struggled to see what make of van it was or get the registration plate, but she was able to make out that it was a small white van with writing on the side and a built-in ladder on part of the roof.

And she said that she’s still feeling the effects of the anaphylactic shock and an ambulance was called out to their home that evening as she had another reaction.

Her friend also suffered a swollen hand in the incident after being struck by one of the eggs.

There’s been growing incidence’s of extreme violence and also gratuitous anti-social behaviour, and Coventry is becoming a truly nasty place to live for many.

This wasn’t children that were hurling the eggs, these were fully developed men – if it had been children, we could have argued that they didn’t know any better, but then some people just don’t think of the consequences of their actions.

And more education is needed in general about this because numerous people think that food has to be ingested to cause injury, but this isn’t accurate at all, and there’s also a loophole in the law because you could say that you had no idea that throwing food could kill someone, but if people were educated about this, there would be no excuse.

Boy, 3, Dumped In Freezing Graveyard With His Pet Pooch

Tony was spotted running after an automobile with his dog as it tore away leaving him unattended in the cold at a graveyard, the boy has since been taken in by a foster family while his family were tracked down.

The three-year-old boy was dumped with his pet pooch in a snow-covered cemetery just two days before Christmas.

The tot was spotted running after an automobile as it pulled away leaving him alone with his canine companion in freezing temperatures.

A woman reported the heartbreaking scene as the child attempted to keep up with the fleeing car, as it left the Hope Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hinckley, Ohio, on Wednesday, December 23.

The woman contacted the police and said the boy and his dog were running after a blue, medium-sized automobile.

Police arrived and discovered the boy, who told them his name was Tony and they took the boy and his pooch into protective custody.

The boy knew the first names of his mum and dad but had no idea where he lived, so the child was put in foster care and the police made a public appeal to locate his family.

Tony’s relatives spotted his picture in the local media and contacted his father, who the police have said has been extremely cooperative.

Police say the boy was supposed to be in his mother’s custody when he was dumped, and in a statement, Hinckley Police Department said that while the investigation is still ongoing with a bunch of questions unanswered they wanted to assure everyone that Tony was doing extremely well in the caring home of a foster family in Medina County.

They said that his father had been extremely cooperative with them and Children Services in the investigation and that they would release further details when they could, and the community came together and brought dozens of Christmas presents for the little boy, who has found himself living with a foster family over the festivities.

Hinckley Police Department’s spokesman added that he wanted to thank everyone for their kindness in wanting to buy Christmas gifts for Tony and the people who took him in, and that they were all wonderful people and that they have a fantastic community in Hinckley, all of Medina County and beyond.

How could anyone anywhere leave their child and a dog in a graveyard in baltic conditions and drive away without a care in the world? It’s unbelievable and inexcusable and it’s difficult to believe that there are people like this out there in the world.

I just hope that his dog was not taken away from him – losing all that love in one day, that’s just too much, but now, hopefully, the dad will get custody of the child.

It could be that the mother has a mental illness, either that, or she’s just a parasite – he was left in a cemetery for Christ sake and she should be charged because she dumped him and left him vulnerable and helpless.

She should get what she deserves, mental illness or not. Why couldn’t she have just left him somewhere warm, like a hospital, anywhere, but not a cemetery?

This poor child was dumped by the one person who was supposed to care for him and it astounds me how anyone can be so callous and I hope that they find the savage of a mother so that she can be punished for the crime that she’s committed.

Clearly, the parents weren’t together and the child was supposed to be with his mother at the time, and although the dad is being cooperative, he probably won’t take him home anytime soon.

What on earth goes through some people’s brains – to think about this awful behaviour and then to actually act on it? And it looks like people just don’t abandon their pets, but they now also abandon their children.

THIRD RAVE

A string of illegal New Year’s Eve raves are being secretly planned across Tier 4 London, a news outlet revealed.

Thousands of people are expected to attend the events which could send COVID spreading even faster through the capital.

Organisers aren’t being hindered by the possibility of £10,000 fines and are scheduling events similar to those in the summer when a string of illegal raves sent the R rate soaring.

It comes after illegal raves and warehouse parties were blamed on driving a surge in coronavirus, leading to further lockdown misery.

Three-quarters of England is now in Tier 4, with some 44 million people under the most stringent restrictions and household mixing prohibited.

Doctors have appealed to Brits not to party with friends on New Year’s Eve after hospitals were wall to wall with COVID patients on Christmas Day and the police have threatened Brits with £10,000 fines tonight if they break COVID rules to throw New Year’s Eve parties, with the country being told to remain at home.

Everyone across the nation has been ordered to act as if they have coronavirus and to remain within their households this Christmas, but one person behind a massive end of year party said they planned to throw a party so people could say good riddance to 2020.

It was discovered that one of the largest planned raves, known as the Good Vibrez rave, last took place during the summer at a secret location in east London and pictures posted on social media after the event revealed that the event took place close to a road flyover.

This time the organisers are advertising a New Year’s Eve event to be held at a secret location and the only clues organisers will give away is that it will be at a covered outdoor London location.

People wishing to attend must sign up to an Instagram account and supply evidence of identification in a private message before purchasing a ticket.

Top of the bill is a garage set by Mutant, following similar sounds to be played by Mark H Nostalgic.

Other acts advertised included an eclectic dance mix by Andy Mills and drum and bass sets from Annicca, Myro and Casper, but it’s unclear if any of the acts will be there in person or if they’re even aware they being linked to the illegal events.

Earlier this year, a news outlet investigation uncovered dozens of illegal parties were super spreading events which contributed to a 300 per cent spike in cases nationwide.

Perhaps we should just let them get on with it, it’s not like intelligence is much of a thing these days and the virus has demonstrated that and this has brought out the dimness in people and it seems that some people are a lost cause.

I can’t condemn them though, they’re just youngsters wanting to socialise. Perhaps they believe that herd immunity is best, but we can’t put all teenagers in this category because quite a few of them are abiding by the rules.

Older generations fought in wars for freedom, but now we’ve had our freedoms taken away and are being threatened by the police and fines – is this not modern slavery?

The planet we now live in has changed, and not for the better. When I was younger, we didn’t have plastic carrier bags, our milk and soft drinks came in glass bottles, our fish and chips came in a newspaper, not polystyrene boxes, our meat was from a butcher, not wrapped in plastics, our vegetables were from the greengrocer in paper bags – there were no disposable nappies and no fast-food restaurants, need I go on.

IS IT HOT IN HERE?

Local media reports that China is on course to finish creating an artificial sun before the end of the year.

The remarkable structure will be capable of reaching 100 million degrees Celcius, six times hotter than the centre of our Sun.

Scientists hope that the artificial sun will help harness the power of nuclear fusion.

This would bring humankind a step nearer to creating unlimited clean energy, by imitating reactions that naturally occur inside the Sun.

The artificial sun was first announced by Chinese researchers last November, but the project has just hit an important milestone.

Chinese media reports that early trials have permitted researchers to create stunningly elevated temperatures and researchers are using a device called a tokamak, which uses a powerful magnetic field to snare hot plasma.

Our Sun hits temperatures of about 15 million degrees Celcius at its core, but the plasma from China’s artificial sun has reached an electron temperature of 100 million degrees Celcius, and an ion temperature of 50 million degrees Celcius.

Duan Xuru, an official at the China National Nuclear Corporation, told Science and Technology Daily, the official newspaper of China’s Ministry of Science and Technology that ions are what generate energy in the device.

So the goal is to now bring the ion temperature up to 100 million degrees too.

Ion temperature is usually lower than electron temperature, so this may be difficult and Duan said the device needs to be tweaked to hit the goal.

As well as high pressure, nuclear fusion needs extremely elevated temperatures, which the artificial sun could supply.

If successful, China will be able to provide a major helping hand to ITER, the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor.

It’s a major undertaking involving scientists from 35 countries that aims to ‘new energy’ sources using nuclear fusion.

If nuclear fusion can be harness using a low energy method, it could allow for the creation of unlimited clean energy.

China recently germinated a seed on the Moon in a world first and the eastern nation recently revealed creepy virtual newsreaders that can deliver unwavering 27/7 content, and a Chinese scientist recently claimed to have created the world’s first gene-edited babies.

And if they can recreate the Sun, how can we be certain that they didn’t create coronavirus – this is an extremely scary thought that we’re all now involved in – I have a bad feeling about this!

And this is another situation that will probably fail, but who will handle this failure when the project goes awry? And what is their master plan? And they should take back the virus they brought to the world before creating an artificial sun we don’t need.

This is foolishness coming from China and when are they going to stop?

They need to be stomped down on and it seems that someone should have some authority over them.

Welsh Performer Michael Sheen Admits He Gave Back His OBE

Michael Sheen has risked a backlash after announcing that he gave back his OBE years after receiving it from the Queen.

The performer said he made the controversial move to avoid looking a hypocrite before giving a speech on the history of his native Wales, including past wrongs perpetrated by England.

And he called for the tradition of giving the heir to the throne the title of Prince of Wales to be discarded when Charles becomes king, saying it was an embarrassment for the Welsh.

The 51-year-old, whose acclaimed roles have included Tony Blair, football boss Brian Clough and commentator David Frost, accepted the recognition from the Queen at Buckingham Palace in 2009.

However, he gave it back after researching Welsh history while preparing to give a lecture to students in 2017.

He said he realised it would be insincere for him to discuss the association between Wales and the British state while still having the OBE and Michael Sheen said reading up on the history of Wales for the annual Raymond Williams lecture, named after a Marxist intellectual, had opened his eyes to problems still resonate today.

He added that in his research to do that lecture he learnt a lot about Welsh history and that he was still standing at the foothills of an understanding of all that, but that was a crash course.

He said that by the time he’d finished writing the lecture, he recalled sitting there thinking to himself that he had a choice. Either he didn’t give the lecture and he could hold onto his OBE or he could give the lecture and he would have to give his OBE back.

He still wanted to give the lecture so he gave his OBE back.

He said he told the Palace at the time that he didn’t mean to be rude and felt extremely honoured to have received it back in 2009 and he said that he meant absolutely no disrespect by doing this and that he didn’t want to cause a big debate about it.

Father of two, Michael Sheen said the OBE had meant a lot to him and his family and had helped him in lots of ways and that people have asked why he’s got so upset about things that occurred hundreds of years ago, but he said it still has power here.

This was extremely commendable of him because we should never trade our beliefs to fit in with the norm and we should be true to ourselves, no matter what that is.

We might not be able to control history, but we can attempt to prevent these things from happening again in the United Kingdom, but the same can be said about every country because there are times when past bad behaviour isn’t taken into consideration so that we can move on.

But good for him and congratulations to all those who’ve laboured hard over the years to ensure that the Welsh language prevails.

Performers shouldn’t be given these awards anyhow, they only used to be given to people who deserved them.

People Are Seriously Arguing Whether Tom Hanks Has Ever Starred In A Great Film

Sparked by end of year lists and God knows what else, potentially boredom, people are beginning to wonder whether the beloved actor Tom Hanks has ever really been in a good movie.

Yes, he’s been in numerous classic movies, notably, romcoms like Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail, but his breakout role was in Forrest Gump, but people on Twitter appear to be discussing whether Tom Hanks has had a good filmography or just a prolific one and after an end of year list from Vulture, Will Leitch and Tom Grierson ranked all of the movies that Tom Hanks has ever been in.

Some would suggest that Tom Hanks might be an adaptable performer, but he does tend to recreate a version of the same person, well-intentioned, everyman, in every movie and this tweet seemed to be the match that lit the fire, which has continued to rage for several days.

Of course, no one’s arguing that every single film that Tom Hanks has played a role in is perfect, there’s, after all, He Knows You’re Alone, Tom Hank’s film debut which was also a horror movie that knocked off Halloween very clearly.

But this star turns in films like A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood, about Mr Rogers, which came out last year – A League of their Own, and of course, Cast Away, which would suggest he’s a fantastic performer who’s been in several splendid movies.

People disagreed, as they’re likely to do on Twitter, to varying degrees.

Some pointed out that great movies can also be entertaining and that they don’t have to be great in the most pretentious sense of the word.

Perhaps it’s not a bad idea. After all, if two people can’t decide on whether Toy Story was a good film or not, then maybe all of these discussions won’t lead us anywhere particularly useful.

Many of his movies were great, some were better than others though, and he’s pretty much just himself in all of his films.

He has an extremely unique voice and presence and I’ve enjoyed most of his movies, he’s a fantastic performer, but in my view, his role in Philadelphia was his best career performance, but even then, I believe Denzel Washington’s performance was even better and more Oscar-worthy.

Nonetheless, Tom Hanks has starred in many amazing films and many have been critically acclaimed and Saving Private Ryan transformed the genre of war films and to think this is not a fantastic movie would be daft, but Philadelphia was a hugely influential movie.

Here’s the debate though. Tom Hanks has starred in some really good movies – yes – end of debate!

Veganuary Predicts Biggest Year As COVID Lockdown Boosts Diet Overhaul

Organisers of Veganuary are gearing up for their biggest ever year next month since the meat-free pledge was launched seven years ago, thanks to a wave in consumers tucking into more plant-based foods during the lockdown and greater concern about health and the environment.

The UK based campaign, which since 2014 has asked people to pledge to follow a diet free of animal products in January, has set a target of 500,000 signatories worldwide and hopes to reach 350,00 by today.

A record 400,000 people signed up to the campaign last year, compared with 250,000 participants in 2019 and 170,000 in 2018.

Marco Settembri, the chief executive of Nestlé (Europe, Middle East and North Africa) said that a well-planned plant-based diet could meet nutritional needs during all stages of life where there are environmental and health benefits too.

He said that this year he was passing the baton and encouraging all employees to partake in Veganuary and signup to the challenge and that he was happy to be part of this campaign as it expanded across Europe and beyond.

Among other large companies whose leadership teams are supporting the campaign are the leading accountancy firms PwC and EY, the media company Bloomberg, Marks & Spencer and the UK’s largest meat-free brand, Quorn.

Philip Watson, Quorn’s UK and Europe commercial director said that their goal was to provide healthy food for people and the planet by backing Veganuary 2021 and they aim to get nearer to their 2030 target of 8 billion meat-free servings a year worldwide.

April Preston, the director of product development at Marks & Spencer, said the retailer would be also expanding its vegan own label Plant Kitchen range.

She said the M&S food leadership team was getting fully involved and would be creating a sequence of fun, weekly videos that will be shared internally, comparing different Plant Kitchen products and their meat counterparts and discovering which come out on top.

Even before the pandemic UK manufacturers, supermarkets, restaurants and pub chains were scrambling to tap into not only the burgeoning vegan market but also the large number adopting flexitarian diets for people who enjoy meat and dairy but want to eat less of it.

Many people go vegan, although don’t believe that they’ll like it and they genuinely do. So, for all those sceptics out there, do some research.

The thing is if you picture this in your head. There are two burgers on your plate, one is plant, and the other is a chunk of dead flesh – why choose the flesh when the plant tastes the same when prepared correctly – it could also make you healthier and feel much better.

Vegan food tends to be trial and error. I prefer Quorn, but some people prefer plant-based. Just cook them as if you were cooking meat and don’t be scared to add extras like pepper and seasoning.

It’s quite straightforward really. There are lots of people who enjoy vegan meals, but some also enjoy the taste of meat but don’t want to eat a dead animal, so they get something like it that’s made out of plant and that tastes like it.

And are you aware of all the hormones and antibiotics that your meat is full of? Are you aware of the chemicals used to prevent your meat from going green on the shelves?

There are a lot of people that have moved to a plant-based diet. Most probably won’t ever give up meat 100 per cent, but I know that I’m feeling better for the change.

The United Kingdom And Turkey To Sign Free Trade Deal

The United Kingdom and Turkey are set to sign a free trade deal today, the first since Boris Johnson secured a new trade agreement with the EU.

The two countries have completed the text of a continuity agreement that replicates current trading terms between Ankara, which has a customs union agreement with Brussels, and London.

And according to the Department for International Trade, the Bilateral trade between the countries was worth almost £19 billion last year.

The agreement is expected to be signed on a video call this week by delegates from each side and exchange of diplomatic notes will then permit the deal to come into force even though there’s not enough time for it to be approved by the two countries’ parliaments before the United Kingdom exits the EU single market on December 31.

Liz Truss, international trade secretary, said that the deal they expect to sign this week locks in tariff-free trading arrangements and will help support their trading relationship, worth £18.6 billion last year.

It will provide certainty for thousands of jobs across the United Kingdom in the manufacturing, automotive and steel industries.

The United Kingdom is Turkey’s second-biggest export market but Ankara’s customs union with the EU meant that a free trade agreement could not be completed until a Brexit agreement was in place.

That increased fears among Turkish producers of white goods, automobiles and textiles that their products could face hefty import tariffs and UK borders delays if Britain crashed out of the 27 member bloc.

One British official said there was an instantaneous sense of relief at the agreement, adding that both Turkish manufacturers and their British counterparts had been nervous about the possibility of a no-deal Brexit.

Hakan Bulgurlu, chief executive of Turkish manufacturers Arcelik, which trades under the name of Beko in Europe said that the United Kingdom was the largest export market for home appliances that are manufactured in Turkey.

He said that they welcome the efforts to quickly conclude a free trade agreement between Turkey and the United Kingdom that will preserve the essence of their no tariff, no quota partnership.

The deal aims to replicate the trading terms that presently exist between the United Kingdom and Turkey, with tariff-free trade on all non-agricultural goods, according to British officials.

The United Kingdom has also agreed to roll over the preferential tariffs that Turkey enjoys on some agricultural products under its customs union with the EU.

But there’s so much frustration among people with everyone imposing their ideological opinions, but everyone should chill out, it’s all about business.

Most of the furniture and clothes you find on eBay comes from Turkey, so we should stop being naive minded and accept it as a blessing and there’s too much hostility these days.

But it appears that Brits are on a mad scramble to complete trade deals, particularly over the years where they’ve made deals with much worse tyrants and our Government have very few morals where money is concerned.

And we seem to whinge about everything and it seems it’s only Brits that excel at this, whinging about everything and anything for the sake of it and we should get a grip because it’s done and now we just have to get on with it.

Britons Overseas Have No Right To Our Help

The Foreign Office said British nationals arrested overseas through no fault of their own have no right to the Government’s help or protection, even if they’re tortured or held as diplomatic leverage against their country.

That stark judgment was given in a letter to lawyers for Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who asked the department to lay out the Government’s view of its responsibility towards her.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a British Iranian mother of one child, was apprehended at Tehran airport in 2016 and condemned to five years on trumped-up charges of sowing dissent against the Iranian government.

A second case, that Iran has aimed to justify with erroneous statements made by Boris Johnson, was presented against her in October.

In a letter to Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s lawyers, the Government said it was under no legal obligation to assist citizens who were falsely charged with a crime while travelling with a British passport.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, 41, a charity worker with the Thomson Reuters Foundation, was apprehended in April 2016 at Tehran airport as she was returning home to London with her then 22-month-old daughter, Gabriella, following a family visit in 2016.

The British Iranian dual national was imprisoned for five years on allegations that she conspired to destroy the Iranian government.

She’s always repudiated the claims, and is presently under house arrest in Tehran, after being freed from jail earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In a letter seen by a news outlet, the head of consular affairs at the Foreign Office, Sarah Broughton, explained that the Government had no responsibility to protect British Citizens who’d been arrested overseas through no fault of their own.

Responding to the letter Ms Zaghgari’s Radcliffe’s lawyers wrote: ‘If it is the government’s position that it has no obligations even in the extreme and unique circumstances of Nazanin’s case, then that sends an extremely alarming message to the rest of the British public.’

In 2019, former foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt granted diplomatic protection for Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe in response to Iran’s treatment of her, but despite the move, Sarah Broughton said the decision to summon the seldom-used diplomatic device didn’t confer any clear legal obligations upon them.

And she added that the Government couldn’t investigate torture or mistreatment allegations and didn’t recognise her arrest as hostage-taking.

So, do these laws no longer exist to safeguard the interests of the British people at home and abroad? And I hazard a guess that if you were Eton educated or related to Lord or Lady whoever, or a Tory contributor the case would be much different.

This woman allegedly didn’t do anything, yet she’s being kept as a political prisoner, but it seems that dual nationals are fair game, although this case is especially sad.

This is all about dual nationality and the significance of having it within the jurisdiction of those countries, but times have changed because it used to be taken for granted that if a British Citizen abroad got into trouble, the Foreign Office would usually help.

But now we have Brexit and our Government, particularly Boris Johnson only wants to negotiate with our own, or should I say his own – welcome to Brexit, although last time I checked, Europe was nowhere near Iran, so it just goes to show that Boris Johnson doesn’t want to trade with anyone or anything unless it concerns his Schmekel.

And perhaps when our own Prime Minister has had a hand in keeping someone overseas and locked up, he really should help, but then this is another Boris moment of stupidity that destroys lives.
