Angela Rayner Sees A Surge In Popularity

After calling for tax increases, Angela Rayner’s popularity among Labour members has skyrocketed.

The leap in favourability for the Deputy Prime Minister followed a leaked memo in which she called on Rachel Reeves to raise £3 billion to £4 billion a year from the rich.

She earned a huge 71-point approval rating, up from 46 points, on LabourList’s Cabinet league table, which ranks ministers as determined by Labour members.

But the Chancellor is on minus 28, lower than Sir Keir Starmer on minus seven, in the Survation poll.

Energy Secretary Ed Miliband heads the rankings with 74 points, according to the 1,304 people questioned whether they had a favourable view of ministers.

Ms Rayner also came second on a list of possible prime ministers should Sir Keir not fight the next general election, winning the support of 47 per cent.

Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham is the favourite with support from 57 per cent of activists while Health Secretary Wes Streeting comes third with 21 per cent.

Tom Belger, editor of LabourList, said: ‘Many members may be restless but the notable upward trend for most Cabinet members gives ministers rare good news.’

Members also want to see the government reverse its welfare changes and extend its winter fuel cutbacks, according to the polls.

Some 59 per cent said Labour should reverse plans to reform disability-related benefits and 80 per cent want more pensioners eligible for the energy payments.

She will never see a surge in popularity with the UK voters – that is the reality!

Her popularity has surged among Labour members, who are a bunch of champagne socialists who have never had a real job and have never had to live in the real world. However, if you tax the rich they will just leave the UK, but then if they leave they were not that patriotic in the first place, and thus traitors to their country.

Angela Rayner’s working-class upbringing does not imply that she is sympathetic to the issues that regular people face. She has been a wealthy politician for many years, and it is obvious that she has forgotten her working-class upbringing.

There is very little chance that Angela Rayner will become prime minister even if Keir Starmer were to quit, and the reason is Labour will not win the next election.

Popular my foot, she’s about as popular as stepping in something nasty on the pavement.

Those who have worked hard and made sacrifices to support themselves and their families will be clobbered, not the privileged few.

A few more votes may seem like a huge boost when you have almost little support or popularity, but Angela Raynor is widely hated.

She needs to define wealthy. In my eyes she is wealthy and she still owes the taxpayers’ for her council house that she bought cheap and made a nice profit on.

Why bother to work at all because the government will steal your money regardless?

In the last 30 years, I have witnessed our government waste our hard-earned money on a massive scale. Why should we have what we have worked so hard for watch it being squandered and frittered away?

Perhaps we should make a stand and sit on our hands and let the state feed, clothe and house us. Let them furnish our accommodation and give us all the mod cons. They do it for migrants, so why not us? Our government are mug enough to finance their lifestyle, now they should finance UK natives, but they won’t because they want to destroy the little people who have toiled hard – our government are spiteful critters.

She will never be popular with the masses – she is a stooge and Labour minion and she needs to be dumped on the scrap heap with the rest of the other minions.

Mother Fined £770 For Mystery Taxi

A mother bombarded with 11 bus lane fines feared she would be dragged into court after a taxi was registered to her home.

Anna Brunskill was horrified when, on April 23, she received a notice from the DVLA telling her a vehicle had been registered at her address in Warrington with a name she did not recognise.

Since then, the 49-year-old has received almost a dozen £70 bus lane penalty notices, totalling £W770.

She said nine of these charges were posted to her on May 15, despite her having no idea who owns the car now tied to her home address.

Warrington Borough Council and the DVLA have already been notified of the matter by the marketing manager.

In the pictures on the penalty papers, Anna saw the car that seemed to have a taxi light on its roof.

Given that there are two roads in the region with similar names, she suggested there was a chance it was an unintentional error.

However, the unexpected amount of fines worried her.

However, Warrington Borough Council, in Cheshire, confirmed it was a ‘genuine mistake’.

Describing the debacle, Anna said: ‘We suddenly got 11 fines in the post.

‘I think that’s what raised my suspicions more than anything.

‘We don’t know this person, we’ve lived at this address for 14 years and we don’t know the car at all.

‘That’s not very nice, it’s a bit worrying especially these days with identity fraud.

‘It’s definitely alarming and the fact that he only bought this car in April just before we started getting these fines.’

When she received the notice that a new vehicle had been registered at her address, confused Anna swiftly rang the DVLA to report this to them.

She said they told her they would open a case for her and then on May 8 Anna received the first bus lane fine for the car that had been registered to her address.

She said rang the local council, who told her to get an acknowledgement form from the DVLA and send it to them so they could pause the charges.

While on the phone with the council, Anna says she was told that there were 10 other penalty charges for the car registered at her address.

A massive stack of them arrived in the mail two days later.

Since then, the DVLA has confirmed to Anna that its records no longer contain her address.

Anna said: ‘It was worrying.

‘I was more worried about the bus lane, to be honest, and the DVLA bit because I thought, you don’t want to not be paying your penalty notices.

‘You can get all sorts of things against your name can’t you if you don’t sort things like that? So that was my main worry.

‘You could get a county court judgement against you.

‘When you’re talking about county court judgements and stuff it can affect your credit history and all sorts.

‘It is absolutely irritating, I probably spent about three hours in total speaking to people, being on hold, waiting for people.

‘They’ve all been very helpful to be fair but time out of your working day isn’t great.’

The DVLA said that any motorist who receives fines or correspondence for a vehicle they do not own should contact Action Fraud, the issuing authority of any fines or penalties and also write to DVLA giving as much information as possible.

They said that if the DVLA is made aware of an error on the vehicle record, upon receipt of satisfactory evidence, the Agency will remove the address details from the vehicle record.

They explained it is an offence to knowingly provide false information or documents to the DVLA under the Road Traffic Act 1972.

A Warrington Borough Council spokesman said: ‘Unfortunately, a genuine mistake was made when the taxi driver’s vehicle was registered with the DVLA.

‘Ms Brunskill’s fines for driving in a bus lane have now been cancelled, and no further action will be taken.’

If these letters had a different name, why did this woman open them? I simply would have sent them back to the sender, but you just don’t want to take any chances these days. If you don’t take action the scammers will probably give your details to other scammers and then things will get far worse.

Some people might say this is a non story, but it’s not, it’s a warning to other readers who would not know what to do, so as well as it being newsworthy it’s also educational.

Can I See Your BritCard?

To crack down on illegal immigration, Downing Street is considering using an identification card app.

Senior No 10 figures are said to be examining proposals for a new BritCard which would display a person’s right to live, work and rent in the UK.

Several cabinet members, including technology secretary Peter Kyle and cabinet office minister Pat McFadden, have endorsed the proposal, which would retain people’s identities on smartphones and attempt to combat benefit fraud by connecting the card to government data.

Advocates think the scheme will send the message that Britain is not ‘a soft touch’ on illegal migration and will decrease the ‘pull’ factor, which many European countries blame for the ongoing small boats crisis, The Times reports.

Britain remains the only European country without an ID card system, with Tony Blair’s famous endeavour to introduce one collapsed in 2011, after the coalition government pulled the plug on it.

Additionally, it is planned that the app would be able to connect other services, such as buying passports, showing driver’s licenses and national insurance numbers, and providing NHS services.

Labour Together, a think tank run by Sir Keir Starmer’s chief of staff, Morgan McSweeney, from 2017 to 2020, has collated plans for the card and sent them to Downing Street.

They include a requirement to ‘show’ the ID when renting a property or starting a new job, with the system automatically checking their right to work or rent against government records.

Existing documents to check identity can be easily forged, potentially deceiving landlords or prospective employers.

According to the proposals, a mockup of the app displays a screen with a person’s name and face, along with his driving licence, employment and rental status, and choices to disclose his identity or age.

The report, published on Friday, urges the Prime Minister to make digital identity a ‘top prime ministerial priority’ and start a ‘fundamental transformation in the way British citizens interact with the government’.

It points to a poll which suggests 80 per cent of the public back the implementation of digital right-to-work credentials, with just under one in three believing it would serve as a deterrent against people entering the country illegally.

The report said that those who did not want to have a digital ID card on their phone would be allowed to carry a physical one instead.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper has placed herself in opposition to some of her colleagues, including many from the ‘Red Wall’ wave of Labour MPs, with Home Office sources describing her position as ‘nuanced’.

Sir Keir Starmer has admitted the public has ‘every right to be angry’ about the issue after more than a thousand migrants made the journey in a single day for the first time this year.

Home Office data revealed 1,194 migrants arrived in 18 boats on Saturday.

But Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch described Sir Keir’s words as ‘rubbish’, claiming that even Defence Secretary John Healey had acknowledged ministers had ‘lost control’ of the borders.

Saturday’s figures were the first time daily crossings topped a thousand in 2025, and prompted Mr Healey to claim Britain had ‘lost control’ over the last five years, implicating the former Tory government.

Writing on social media site X on Monday, the Prime Minister said: ‘You have every right to be angry about small boat crossings.

‘I’m angry too. We are ramping up our efforts to smash the people smuggling gangs at source.’

He claimed hundreds of boats and engines had been ‘seized’, raids on illegal working were up, and ‘almost 30,000 people’ had been returned.

But Mrs Badenoch hit back, responding: ‘Rubbish! Even the Defence Secretary admits the govt has ‘lost control’ of our borders.’

Small boat arrivals are ‘up 95 per cent from this point in 2023’, she said, and claimed ministers had ‘scrapped the only viable deterrent’: the previous Conservative government’s Rwanda plan.

Sir Keir had earlier insisted the Rwanda plan ‘didn’t deter anybody’ after his decision to scrap it was highlighted while he visited Glasgow for a major defence announcement.

He added: ‘I’m not up for gimmicks. I’m up for the hard work of working with partners, enhancing the powers that law enforcement have, in my determination to take down the gangs that are running this vile trade.’

Saturday’s crossings brought the provisional annual total of migrants who have made the voyage to 14,811.

This is 42 per cent higher than the same point last year (10,448) and 95 per cent up from the same point in 2023 (7,610).

It is still lower than the highest daily count of 1,305 arrivals since data started in 2018, which was recorded on September 3, 2022.

The real key to stopping boat migrants is to stop giving them complimentary housing, benefits, healthcare and food. An ID scheme is just to keep people in check, even native UK citizens, and it’s not going to do much. People just haven’t got it yet – our government want these boat people on our shores, it’s all part of their plan. This country is getting more and more sinister by the day – Big Brother is watching you and he wants complete control.

However, don’t forget that Big Brother already has partial control – they have all your details and are now attempting to get access to your bank accounts. You don’t have any human rights anymore, but our government bangs on about illegals having human rights, but the natives have scarcely any.

It’s easy – if they land on our shores with no genuine identification, then they should be shipped straight back from whence they came. Simple!

The Second Day Of The Madeleine McCann Search

Investigators are continuing to explore scrubland and abandoned buildings on the second day of the latest hunt for Madeleine McCann, with investigators bringing in an excavator as they search for evidence.

Teams of German and Portuguese officers, as well as firefighters, encounter the daunting task of hunting for clues 18 years on from the disappearance of the British three-year-old in 2007.

This week’s operation is concentrating on a sparsely developed area of land about 3.5 miles from Praia da Luz, where Madeleine was last seen while on holiday with her parents and siblings.

Madeleine disappeared after she was left sleeping in a room with her toddler twin brother and sister while her parents went for dinner with friends in a nearby restaurant.

Parents Kate and Gerry McCann are not commenting during the ‘active police investigation’, staff at the Find Madeleine Campaign said.

The place where they are working is an area of fields and scrubland between a main road and the sea, with a few derelict buildings including a vineyard.

While wearing safety gear including face masks and hard helmets, the police were observed on Wednesday removing plants from around abandoned structures and moving rubble with a digger.

It has been said that teams will examine where trenches were excavated near the resort at the time of Madeleine’s disappearance, at wells, ruins and water tanks, and that there are plans to examine 21 pieces of land.

Ground penetrating radar equipment arrived in vans from Germany on Wednesday and it is anticipated to be deployed this afternoon as the search around the area continues.

Sources said the equipment would not be used to ‘find a body’ but rather to see if the ground has been disturbed and any evidence buried.

Before this, police were observed sorting earth into plastic boxes and bins using pickaxes, shovels, and spades before bringing it to a blue tent for more analysis.

The investigation is being carried out at the request of the German federal police, as they look for proof that could implicate prime suspect Christian Brueckner, who is in jail for raping a 72-year-old woman in Praia da Luz in 2005.

If no charges are made against him, he is scheduled to be freed from prison in September.

In October last year, Brueckner was cleared by a German court of unrelated sexual offences, alleged to have taken place in Portugal between 2000 and 2017.

About 30 German police, including forensic experts, are said to be taking part in the search alongside Portuguese officers.

Unless something significant comes to light, the operation is anticipated to continue until Friday.

The Metropolitan Police said they were aware of the operation but that British officers would not be present.

In Portugal, this is the first search in almost two years.

It is not clear if detectives are now acting on a new tip-off about where Madeleine’s body could be.

German investigators and Portuguese officers last carried out searches in 2023, near the Barragem do Arade reservoir, approximately 30 miles from Praia da Luz.

They were the first major searches in Portugal for Madeleine McCann in nine years following an earlier June 2014 operation when British police were allowed to carry out digs in Praia da Luz that involved sniffer dogs trained in detecting bodies and ground-penetrating radar.

Those digs were linked to the leading UK police theory at the time Madeleine died during a break-in and burglars hid her body nearby.

Additionally, they were unable to present any proof that would have indicated the whereabouts of the missing child.

It was previously searched in 2008 when Portuguese lawyer Marcos Aragao Correia paid for specialist divers to search it after he claimed to have been tipped off by criminal connections that Madeleine’s body was there.

Brueckner, who spent time in the area between 2000 and 2017, had photos and videos of himself near the reservoir.

The 48-year-old convicted paedophile faces having his hopes of being freed from prison in September scuppered after reportedly being accused of new crimes against prison guards behind bars.

He is under investigation on suspicion of abduction and murder in the McCann case but has denied any involvement in the girl’s 2007 disappearance.

Although the convicted paedophile was named as a suspect in the case by German authorities, he has not been prosecuted.

Brueckner’s jail term is set to end with his release this September – much earlier than prosecutors had hoped for after he was acquitted of unrelated sexual offences in court last October following a trial.

As the convicted rapist approaches the conclusion of his term, he is no longer being kept in solitary confinement.

It seems likely that Madeleine will never be located—not alive, anyway—if she is not located during this inquiry.

The amount of time it takes for authorities to locate a missing child is not certain. However, according to statistics, a significant portion of children are discovered in the first few days.

Madeleine’s parents naturally want closure and to be able to bury their daughter.

I do feel for the family, but during this time other children have gone missing, and there should be more emphasis on them.

It is hoped that the police will discover proof that will implicate wicked Brueckner.

The fact is that this would never have occurred if the parents had not left the children on their own, and why were they not charged with neglect?

The parents made a horrible mistake and their hearts must be breaking. Eighteen years of this, being raked up and they have to relive what occurred time and time again, but it is the parent’s fault, although I don’t believe they did it, but they should have been held accountable.

During their initial interview, there was no emotion. It resonates with me that other parents would have been heartbroken and in tears.

Personally, the case of Madeleine’s disappearance will never be solved, too much time has elapsed.

More Pensioners Will Get Fuel Payments This Winter

Labour’s U-turn on fuel payments will happen in time for more pensioners to benefit this winter, it was announced – but not all retirees will have the handouts restored.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves said this morning that planned changes to the means-testing of winter fuel payments would be in place ahead of the colder months.

‘More people will get winter fuel payment this winter,’ she said, as she was questioned about Labour’s plans to partially reverse its earlier cuts.

However, Ms Reeves stated that she is unable to disclose how the U-turn would be financed yet, even though she is anticipated to give additional information during her expenditure review next week.

‘We will set out how everything will be paid for at the Budget in the autumn,’ the Chancellor said when questioned about possible further tax rises.

Ms Reeves’ remarks came soon after Torsten Bell, the pensions minister, acknowledged that there was little chance of England and Wales ever implementing a universal winter heating payment again.

He told MPs that ‘most people agree… it’s not a good idea that we have a system paying a few hundreds of pounds to millionaires’.

The payments – worth up to £300 – had previously been available to all pensioners prior to Ms Reeves’ controversial announcement, made last July, that they were being means-tested.

Last July – as she blamed a £22 billion ‘black hole’ in the public finances – the Chancellor said the handouts would be restricted to only those on pension credit or other means-tested benefits.

Her decision to axe fuel payments for about 10 million pensioners – saving an estimated £1.5 billion per year – sparked anger and dire warnings from charities about the impact of the cut.

Last month, in response to the intense criticism, the prime minister promised to partially reverse the contentious cuts.

Sir Keir Starmer told MPs on 21 May he wants to ensure ‘more pensioners are eligible’ for the payments ‘as the economy improves’.

Following a bad series of local election results and Labour’s defeat in the Runcorn and Helsby by-election to Reform UK, he announced a partial U-turn.

Labour activists said the decision to drastically pare back winter fuel payments came up repeatedly on the doorstep during those contests.

Ms Reeves stated this morning in Rochdale that she will change the means-testing threshold in time to allow more seniors to get benefits this winter.

But Ms Reeves dodged on whether she would announce the full details of Labour’s U-turn at her spending review on 11 June.

‘I had to make decisions last year to restore sound public finances,’ the Chancellor said, as she defended her initial cut.

‘And that involved a number of difficult decisions around welfare, taxation and also public spending.

‘Including the decision to means-test winter fuel payments so only the poorest pensioners – those on pension credit – got it.

‘We have now put our public finances on a firmer footing, the economy is in a better shape, but we have also listened to the concerns people had about the level of the means test.

‘And so we will be making changes to that, they will be in place so pensioners are paid this coming winter.

‘We’ll announce the detail of that and the level of that as soon as we possibly can.

‘But people should be in no doubt the means-test will increase and more people will get winter fuel payment this winter.’

Asked if she would tell the public if she planned to fund her commitments by raising taxes or cutting spending in other parts of Whitehall, the Chancellor said: ‘As we have been clear, on winter fuel we will set out how we will fund that at the next fiscal event.

‘We will set out how everything will be paid for at the Budget in the autumn but it’s important that everything that we do is funded, because that’s how people know that we can afford it.’

Earlier, speaking to the House of Commons Work and Pensions Committee, Mr Bell said the Government was still deciding how to make more pensioners eligible for the cash, but he ruled out winter fuel payments being returned to all retirees.

‘Directly on your question of is there any prospect of a universal winter fuel payment, the answer is no,’ he said.

‘The principle I think most people, 95 percent of people agree, that it’s not a good idea that we have a system paying a few hundred of pounds to millionaires.

‘And so we’re not going to be continuing with that. But we will be looking at making more pensioners eligible.’

Asked what work had been done with HMRC to assess the practicality of recouping payments from higher rate taxpayers, as happens with child benefit, Mr Bell said: ‘We’re looking at all of the policy options for how this eligibility can be extended, and when I’ve got more to tell you about that I absolutely will.’

The pensions minister also insisted there were ‘no differential effects on their health outcomes’ last winter for those particularly affected by the changes to winter fuel payments.

‘No one is asking people to wait for changes to the policy on winter fuel payment for help with energy bills,’ he added.

‘We’ve already been getting on with making sure we’re extending the household support fund, raising the state pension significantly above inflation, getting on with the longer term answers in terms of a warm homes programme.

‘Help is happening all over the Government’s policy agenda but in this particular area we do want to help more pensioners in future.’

Nigel Farage, a reform leader, recently pledged to completely undo Labour’s winter fuel payment cuts.

But, despite campaigning against Labour’s cuts to winter fuel payments, Tory leader Kemi Badenoch has not pledged to return it to every retiree.

‘I’ve always said millionaires should not get the winter fuel payment,’ she said last month.

‘That is not right. But we shouldn’t be taking it away from people who end up below the breadline after it’s gone.

‘So what we need is a system that can make sure that all of those people who do need it get it.’

Responding to Ms Reeves’ comments this morning, Liberal Democrat MP Daisy Cooper – her party’s Treasury spokesperson – said: ‘This whole debacle has caused needless misery for millions of pensioners.

‘We will look at the details of the changes at the spending review next week.

‘In the meantime, the Chancellor should apologise to all those pensioners who had to freeze this winter because of this senseless policy.’

I never thought I’d see the day would come when a British Prime Minister actively works against pensioners, while actively working for migrants – utterly disgraceful, and let me remind you that the State Pension is deemed a benefit, it’s not a benefit because it was paid by US for US, therefore it’s ours!

Many people claim that it has nothing to do with immigration, but in reality, it does; our government is providing migrants with funds that they are stealing from retirees to support migrants who are not and most likely never will contribute to this nation.

Although Labour is a true embarrassment to the United Kingdom, this is a collaborative effort since they are carrying on the Conservatives’ legacy. Both sides are engaged in a never-ending loop of trying to harm our nation as much as they can.

There’s obviously an extremely large black hole in Labour’s ability to tell the truth.

In April 2025, the weekly State Pension amount will be £176.45 for the basic State Pension and £230.25 for the full new State Pension. The new full State Pension is for those who reached State Pension age on or after April 6, 2016.

When you get State Pension there are certain freebies that you won’t get, and if you’re 1p over the Pension Credit limit there are very limited benefits you can apply for, but State Pension is deemed a benefit under the social security framework, so why are our pensioners getting limited benefits?

Pensioners in the UK seem to be the lowest paid in Europe – below the living wage, and our government don’t expect pensioners to survive on it, and it’s our government’s way of saying, we don’t care, they don’t want us to survive, they want us to die after working 60 odd years or more before we draw our pension.

Our government have a number of tough decisions to make, so why don’t they start with the easy one? Quit spending money on migrants – problem solved!

Starmer is a treacherous traitor to the elderly, the disabled and the taxpayer. He puts migrant arrivals ahead of all native UK people, and he lied to get into government. It makes you wonder why people work for years and years to get nothing in return – no wonder why our Gen Z generation doesn’t want to work, and can you blame them?

Ensure Accessible Housing For Disabled Individuals Above Ground Floor

Frustration and despair, are the feelings that are shared by numerous disabled people. These are not born out of inevitable circumstances but from inadequate and inappropriate housing conditions.

There are a vast number of disabled people who are struggling, living in flats above the ground floor. Constantly finding themselves trapped, unable to leave the building when the lift is not working. This is not only an inconvenience but also a danger to their safety and infringes on their basic human rights.

It is of paramount importance to underpin that many disabled-adapted flats are not accommodating the needs of disabled people who live above the ground floor. It’s a silent crisis of accessibility!

According to the Equality Act 2010, reasonable adjustments must be made to buildings to prevent disabled individuals from being at a disadvantage (source: UK Government). Yet, many building operators neglect this.

Therefore, it’s urgent to demand the authorities to enhance inspection and enforcement of the existing laws which ensure homes for disabled people are above and beyond minimum standards. The goal should be not only to comply with the law but also to facilitate a fulfilling life for every disabled person.

A place to live shouldn’t become a field for daily battle and our voices need to be heard, and the authorities need to understand the urgency of disabled people and the conditions they live in. They need to improve the living circumstances of disabled people.

And it’s not just about the lift. What would happen if there was a fire? How would these disabled people get out of the building, they wouldn’t stand a chance! People with restricted mobility should never be housed in high-rise buildings.

Councils and housing associations are not thinking about this when they house disabled people because they just don’t care, and there is not enough housing stock anymore because Margaret Thatcher thought it was a damn good idea to give people the ‘right to buy’ their homes.

Sadly, these people don’t care about their residents as long as they’re getting their money, that’s all they care about – always follow the money – corrupt comes to mind.

Blocks of flats are a safety hazard for everyone, and they need to be torn down and replaced – look what happened at Grenfell!

If lifts can’t be maintained, then knock the buildings down and rehouse the residents, and if there’s not enough housing stock, then build some more homes, even bring prefabs back, they were great.

What I would like to know is when Margaret Thatcher gave people the ‘right to buy’ where did all that money go?

The money was supposed to go back into the coffers to build more houses, but the government was never going to release those funds to build social housing.

If the lift goes out of service and a disabled or elderly person lives on the 12 floor nobody is going to climb the stairs to deliver the mail, food or medication, especially if they have no family to help. It wouldn’t surprise me that after three weeks without a lift these people are found dead.

‘Deeply Dishonest’ Claims By Keir Starmer

For once Sir Keir Starmer was in tune with the mood of the country when he said he was ‘angry’ after more than 1,000 Channel migrants arrived over the weekend.

But the Prime Minister was made to look foolish after being criticised for making ‘deeply dishonest’ claims about Labour’s record on small boats.

Sir Keir boasted in an online post that ‘almost 30,000 people’ had been removed from the UK. Nevertheless, this figure refers to all kinds of foreign nationals who have no right to live in the UK rather than those who arrive by crossing the Channel.

The number of small boat migrants removed in the 12 months to March fell three percent year-on-year to 2,240. Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp said: ‘This is deeply dishonest.

‘The number of removals of small boat arrivals has actually gone down under Labour.’

Tory leader Kemi Badenoch said Sir Keir’s claims were ‘rubbish’.

Some 1,195 Channel migrants arrived in the UK from northern France on Saturday – the fifth-highest daily count since the crisis started in 2018.

The Prime Minister scrapped the Tories’ Rwanda scheme, which was designed to discourage migrants from crossing, as one of his first acts in office.

Since Labour came to power 38,053 migrants have reached Britain, up a third on the same period in 2023-24, when the figure was 28,452.

Officials have secretly revealed that internal Home Office assessments mean Labour is on course to preside over the worst year for Channel crossings.

Alp Mehmet, chairman of Migration Watch UK which campaigns for tougher border controls, accused Sir Keir of attempting to ‘intentionally mislead the public’.

He added: ‘The PM’s suggestion that 30,000 Channel migrants have been removed is simply not true.’

Tory Justice spokesman Robert Jenrick said: ‘His fantasy statistics take the public for fools.

‘They can see through his smoke and mirrors. Starmer has lost control of our borders.’

It comes as Home Office insiders have urged France to ‘step up’ and fulfil a promise to intercept dinghies at sea.

According to the Mail, Labour is frustrated with France’s sluggish pace in changing its regulations to allow boats to be halted once they are in the sea.

France first pledged the change earlier this year but has still not completed a legal review, Home Secretary Yvette Cooper told MPs on Monday.

A Home Office source said: ‘The French committed to intervene in the water in February, it’s about time they stepped up and did what they’ve told us they’re going to do.’

Ms Cooper said in the Commons: ‘A French maritime review is looking at what new operational tactics they will use, and we are urging France to complete this review and implement the changes as swiftly as possible.’

Ministers have attributed the surge in arrivals to the favourable weather, with officials stating that the number of days when dinghies may cross the Channel has doubled from the previous year.

What is going to be the consequence of this man’s lies? Starmer should be made to make a public apology in Parliament for misleading the house and electorate.

If he were to take a lie detector test he would likely pass while swearing on the Bible, after all, he’s had extensive training and vast experience in poker faced duplicity.

Nobody believes a single word this man says anymore. He contorts everything he says, but then being a lawyer, deception is the first thing you are taught.

How much longer can Keir Starmer last? The man is dull, he has no vision, he has no conviction and he’s a liar. He seems to despise his own country, and the idea of him continuing to be our Prime Minister is so depressing.

However, it won’t be any better even if they replace him because they are all inept, annoying, and unlikable.

The UK is now upside down. The government support those who break the law and enter our country illegally. What do they get? A hotel, food, clothing, mobile phones and a living allowance. Yet our native UK citizens are living on the streets, thousands using food banks and our streets are blighted by the homeless.

Taxes are increasing and a considerable number of foreign workers are being permitted to work tax-free, costing more UK citizens to lose their jobs.

When a leading prime minister proves to be a liar, there should be an election immediately because of their deception – they should also go to prison for treason. It’s time to make all parties accountable and honest.

This man is a liar and what’s worst is he does it so naturally.

So, it’s the lovely weather that these migrants are crossing over – nothing to do with the stunning hotel room that will be waiting for them when they arrive. These migrants, if you give them half a hand, they will take a whole one and Starmer is allowing this to happen.

They love the glorious weather, it allows them to cross over safely, and the numbers will be astronomical.

Starmer was a human rights lawyer, so his mind is set on getting every migrant over to live the life of Riley in the UK and the native population are not on his radar.

However, the British people are not being fooled anymore. These migrants are roaming our high streets all over the UK and you can see the infiltration of foreigners with no checks and no consequences of being allowed to remain in this country. We are doomed unless somebody in government is bold enough to grasp the nettle and risk being called names to just get them out NOW!

Cyber Attacks Threaten British Businesses

A survey has found that British businesses fear hackers could wipe them out following the devastating cyberattack on Marks & Spencer.

Two-thirds of security leaders at medium and large-sized companies in the UK admit an attack on a similar scale could ‘cripple’ their organisation.

Experts have warned that the financial damage from ransom demands and clean-up costs can often cost millions of pounds—enough to jeopardise some firms’ futures.

The poll by Absolute Security was carried out just weeks after M&S was hit over the Easter holidays, costing the retailer £300 million and shaving £1 billion off its market value.

M&S boss Stuart Machin recently admitted the attack – caused by ‘human error’ – had been ‘the most challenging situation we’ve encountered’.

Security leaders further revealed staff still working from home remained a major problem, with 62 percent revealing remote devices were the ‘biggest weakness’ in their digital defences.

Over half – 51 percent – of the businesses polled had been hit by a ransomware attack in the past year, with 59 percent citing it as their biggest concern.

The consequences of such an attack are profound, with 63 percent of the 250 security leaders polled in May revealing the financial loss from ransomware could incapacitate their organisation.

The average cost of a ransomware attack on businesses is £850,000 in the UK – but this can increase exponentially for bigger firms.

The LockBit group demanded £65 million after hacking the Royal Mail in 2024.

The recovery costs from a cyberattack last year on Synnovis, a pathology services provider for the NHS that led to the cancellation and delay of thousands of medical procedures, were estimated at £32 million – over seven times the company’s annual profits.

Several UK firms have already gone bust following cyberattacks.

In 2020, Peterborough-based Travelex went into administration after being hit by a cyber attack by the notorious criminal gang REvil – who demanded a £4.6 million ransom – on New Year’s Eve.

A month of interruption resulted from the hack, which affected high-profile companies including Barclays and Asda and prevented employees from using computers to monitor trade.

The company said it ‘had a large part to play’ in the company filing for insolvency later that year, with 1,300 employees losing their jobs.

KNP Logistics – one of the UK’s biggest privately owned logistics groups – suffered a similar fate after a huge ransomware attack in June 2023. Three months later, it blamed the cyberattack when it declared bankruptcy, making 730 staff redundant.

Over the past month, major UK retailers – including M&S, Co-op, and Harrods – were struck by a surge of coordinated cyberattacks attributed to a hacker group known as Scattered Spider.

The attacks mostly used so-called ‘social engineering’ tactics, in which criminals manipulate workers into sharing sensitive information to get them into internal IT systems.

As a consequence, one of the greatest challenges remains the threat posed by staff working from home, with critics arguing workers refusing to come into the office frequently fail to install up-to-date security on their laptops for weeks or even months.

The survey showed that 60 percent of security leaders believe remote working has ‘complicated’ their capacity to safeguard against cyberattacks.

Jake Moore, global security advisor at cybersecurity software company ESET, said: ‘It’s not surprising that the majority of medium and large businesses would see their future thrown into doubt after a cyberattack.

‘Ransom demands are often in the millions, but even when the ransom isn’t paid, the costs associated with recovery and lost revenue can be staggering.

‘In some cases, such as with M&S, the clean-up operation can even cost far more than the original ransom payment forcing an unbelievably difficult decision at the time of attack.’

Andy Ward, SVP at Absolute Security, said: ‘Recent high-profile cyber attacks have highlighted just how vulnerable major British retailers—and indeed many UK businesses—have become. Cybercriminals now have the capacity to severely disrupt, or even dismantle, organisations at scale.

‘Our research reveals that many large and medium-sized UK businesses believe that a serious cyber incident could cripple their operations or threaten their very survival.’

The issue is that all of these businesses are outsourcing their IT to India and other countries because they believe they are saving money.

I’m not an IT person, although I know a little bit, and I would have to say employees working from home using a box standard router without extra security are putting our data at risk.

Working from home should be abolished. For centuries people have been going to the workplace to work, but then COVID raised its hideous crown and people started to work from home, and people started to become slothful, but times have changed and working from home is the future for numerous people.

These firms can’t have their cake and eat it. If they want huge cost savings then they should make significant investments in cyber security, not the bare minimum amount as possible, putting their customer’s security at risk. With the proper systems, and they’re not cheap but at least they would make cyber attacks a lot less likely.

To prevent hackers from simply stealing people’s data, individuals who work from home need protection on their computers. Since everyone with critical information should be at the office, it’s time to put an end to this craziness. Working from home is no longer necessary.

Since COVID, things have changed. Previously, working five days a week was the standard, but that is no longer the case. Some might argue that because things have changed, some people get left behind when they don’t embrace them.

DOGE Downfall Blamed On Elon Musk’s Drug Habit

Elon Musk was using a cocktail of drugs on the campaign trail as his messy personal life spilled over into his work, according to a report from the New York Times.

Musk stormed into politics as President Donald Trump’s chainsaw-brandishing sidekick tasked with slashing the federal bureaucracy, but the tech tycoon has found himself on the chopping block just four months into his stint in government.

But insiders allege Musk, 53, was taking the powerful anaesthetic, which is known to have hallucinogenic properties, so frequently that it was affecting his bladder, the bombshell report claims.

He also took ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms and travelled with a daily pill box that contained about 20 different drugs, including Adderall, sources allege.

Those around him claim that his consumption blurred the lines between medicinal and recreational, with Musk allegedly having taken drugs at private gatherings across the US and in at least one foreign country, according to the NYT report which was based on a series of texts the outlet reviewed, as well as interviews with insiders.

Musk has claimed in interviews that he only takes ‘a small amount’ of ketamine and that ‘I really don’t like doing illegal drugs’, but his erratic behaviours, including making an apparent Nazi salute at Trump’s election day event, seemingly suggest otherwise.

It is unclear if Musk was taking drugs when Trump put him in charge of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which he announced he was stepping down from on Wednesday.

Representatives for Musk and the White House were approached by Daily Mail for comment, but they did not immediately respond.

Musk’s aerospace firm SpaceX, which is a large government contractor, requires its workforce to be drug-free and randomly administers drug testing.

The tech billionaire, however, would receive ‘advance warning’ of those tests, insiders with knowledge of the testing process told the newspaper.

It is unclear if Musk was compelled to undergo drug testing by the White House, but Trump’s top aide Stephen Miller told CNN on Friday ‘I don’t have any concerns’ about the NYT’s explosive report.

Miller, noting that Trump would be hosting a joint press conference with Musk later in the day, said: ‘All I can say is that DOGE has done an extraordinary job rooting out systemic waste, graft, graft and corruption from the federal government.

‘And you’re going to hear from the president today his thanks to Elon Musk for leading that effort to save taxpayers billions of dollars.’

Miller was pressed again about the report after he arrived at the White House.

‘Are you concerned about drug use by Elon Musk?,’ a reporter asked, but Miller doubled down, saying: ‘The drugs that we’re concerned about are the drugs running across the southern border.’

In addition to his apparent drug habit, Musk’s time at DOGE was entangled with private legal battles involving his ex-partners and children.

Claire Boucher, known professionally as Grimes, is understood to be clashing with Musk over his general flaunting of their five-year-old son X, which she alleges violates the pair’s custody agreement.

He also was accused of fathering a secret 14th child with conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair. Musk has allegedly denied paternity of the child.

Musk has expressed increasing disenchantment with DOGE’s challenges in recent weeks, despite the agency’s ruthless cuts across US bureaucracy.

He leaves far short of his original goal of saving $2 trillion dollars, with calculations indicating he saved just one thousandth of that, despite tens of thousands of people losing their jobs.

Musk will now concentrate on his Space X and Tesla businesses, as well as his dream of inhabiting Mars.

Trump called Musk ‘terrific’ as he declared that they would hold a joint press conference on Friday as the SpaceX founder leaves DOGE.

‘This will be his last day, but not really, because he will, always, be with us, helping all the way,’ Trump said on his Truth Social network on Thursday.

Musk has publicly vented his anger at his contentious role in cost-cutting in recent weeks, despite the kind remarks.

Musk was the biggest contributor to Trump’s 2024 election campaign and the pair bonded over conservative politics and a desire to root out what they thought was a wasteful ‘deep state’.

He soon rose to prominence as Trump’s “First Buddy” and was always by his side.

The tycoon appeared with his young son X on his shoulders during his first press conference in the Oval Office. He attended cabinet meetings.

He and Trump rode on Air Force One and Marine One together and they watched UFC fights together.

However, the computer billionaire was known for acting irrationally. At a conservative rally, he did what looked like a Nazi salute while brandishing a chainsaw and bragging about how simple it was to save money.

But Trump himself stayed publicly devoted to the man he dubbed a ‘genius.’

The president even turned the White House into a pop-up Tesla dealership after protesters targeted Musk’s electric car business. However, Musk found it difficult to understand the political landscape.

He is understood to have insulted cabinet members during meetings and would routinely get into ‘fights’ with his opponents, according to the report.

The impact on Musk’s businesses also started to strike home with a string of Space X launches that ended in fiery failures and Tesla shares falling drastically.

Musk began musing about stepping back earlier this year saying that, ‘DOGE is a way of life, like Buddhism’ that would carry on without him.

He ultimately showed the first signs of distance from Trump himself this week, saying he was ‘disappointed’ in Trump’s recent mega-spending bill. Musk also said he would pull back from spending time on politics.

The end came in a post by Musk on Wednesday on the X network, which he bought and then turned into a MAGA campaign platform.

‘As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realDonaldTrump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending,’ Musk tweeted.

‘The @DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.’

Ketamine has drawn more attention in recent decades due to its potential to aid in the recovery of those suffering from severe mental health issues such as PTSD and depression that is resistant to therapy. Ketamine, a dissociative anaesthetic and hallucinogenic substance with a contentious presence in mental healthcare, was first used as a veterinary painkiller before becoming a street drug.

Its dissociation qualities are crucial; the intention is to momentarily distance oneself from distressing memories and melancholy thoughts while creating new neural connections that may have long-lasting beneficial impacts on the patient’s brain.

The FDA approved the first ketamine-derived medication, Spravato (esketamine), as a Schedule III controlled substance for treatment-resistant depression in 2019 after nearly 20 years of clinical research that delivered mixed and complex results.

It is evident in videos that Elon Musk is on some hallucinogenic drug by way of his behaviour. However, what he does behind closed doors is up to him, who are we to judge? But why oh why are such talented people so consumed with drugs – they have it all but then lose their lives to these drugs, it’s all extremely sad.

Of course, most people have some kind of vice, so people drink, some people eat, some do drugs et cetera – there isn’t a perfect person out there!

I must admit Elon Musk could I suppose come across as being a pretty disturbing person, however, he is the richest person in the world, so he must be doing something right!

Who cares if this man does Ketamine or any other drug for that matter? It’s his life, not yours. If he uses it as a coping mechanism, that’s up to him – he’s rich and you’re not, and he’s incredibly smart.

Intellectual handicaps and autism spectrum condition are often associated. However, learning difficulties are not always experienced by people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), even if they may have communication and social skills issues.

Many are high-functioning and use their distinct viewpoint to accomplish amazing feats, and there have been a lot of well-known people with autism throughout history, and a savant is a person with a developmental disability who is gifted in one certain area such as mathematics, music or art, and about half of all savants are diagnosed with autism – these people are known as autistic savants.

Elon was asked if he did a lot of Ketamine – he was a tad reticent on that one, but I could see that look in his eye – this dude likes to mess with the media’s minds. He was asked the question, but deep down he’s laughing at the media and loving it because everyone loves a bit of gossip!

Officers’ ‘Disturbing’ WhatsApp Messages

Seven police officers have been sacked without warning over ‘disturbing’ WhatsApp messages that mocked women, and disabled people, and even quipped about concealing dead bodies.

The serving and former British Transport Police (BTP) officers – PC James Elliot, PC Michael Lee, PC Steven Leung, PC Robert Whyte, PC Richard Wood, and former PCs Lee Williamson and David Ford – were all members of a WhatsApp chat called ‘Team 3 Secret Service’, which was uncovered during a different investigation into domestic abuse in October 2023.

The messages sent to the group were branded ‘shocking’ and ‘offensive in almost every way possible’ by senior police officials.

An internal misconduct hearing heard they made jokes about violence against women and girls, mocked victims, and even made references to BTP’s own Chief Constable and the ‘LGBTQI mafia’.

The worst of the message included a horrifying suggestion to stab a waitress who had an anti-police tattoo, while others made light of sexual violence, serial killing, and physical injuries.

One message, referencing a disfigured woman, said: ‘Fordy taking his new missus home tonight. This one won’t get away.’

In one incredible exchange, an officer said: ‘I have just noticed the waitress has an ACAB [All Cops Are Bastards] tattoo on her forearm. Do I say nice tattoo or stab her?’

Another responded: ‘Stab her and throw her in the river.’

Another chilling message involved a joke about keeping a woman under the floorboards.

One officer wrote: ‘Looks like I really am a policeman. You’re going under my floorboards later sweetheart.’

There were repeated references to sexual brutality, including one exchange where officers quipped about taking ‘condoms and Viagra’ on a work trip to Bristol, followed by a message about ‘rope and gaffa tape’ with the hashtag #MeToo.

Another officer sent a photo of a bed surrounded by weapons, horror-themed props and a doll, with the comment: ‘Yours got blood on it?’

Legal counsel for the Appropriate Authority, Aaron Rathmell, said the group’s so-called ‘dark humour’ was meant to provoke a reaction but risked ‘undermining public confidence’ in policing.

He added that while the messages were written in a private setting, they showed attitudes and behaviour that were wholly incompatible with the standards expected of a police officer – referencing the Angiolini Inquiry into the murder of Sarah Everard by a serving Met officer.

‘The deliberately risqué humour was meant for enjoyment and to get a reaction,’ Mr Rathmell said.

‘But dark humour often rings alarm bells because it is used to excuse unacceptable behaviour.’

He said being a police officer is a ‘privilege’, and that officers’ right to privacy is ‘fettered’ by the police Code of Ethics, even in off-duty group chats.

Four supervisors — PS Alexander Bratby, PS Russell Stobbs, and former PS Amed Vafa — were also found to have breached standards by failing to challenge the messages. All were given written warnings, a lesser penalty than dismissal.

Other messages shared included:

  • Jokes about a casualty on train tracks, with one officer writing: ‘Was he armless before?’
  • A cruel comment on a victim’s severe head wound: ‘That’s one way to solve dandruff.’
  • Crude sexual innuendo, such as asking if anyone had ‘extra small rib’ condoms ‘for Dave’.

The misconduct hearing was concluded earlier this week, and BTP confirmed that all seven officers were found guilty of gross misconduct.

Five serving officers were dismissed instantly, and the two former officers would also have been sacked had they remained in post.

A BTP spokesperson said: ‘Four supervisors were also part of the WhatsApp group and answered allegations they breached the standards of professional behaviour by failing to challenge or report the offensive messages sent. In each case, this was assessed as misconduct and the serving officers were provided with a written warning.’

Assistant Chief Constable Charlie Doyle told MyLondon: ‘The contents of this WhatsApp group was wholly unacceptable, with the messages exchanged both shocking and offensive in almost every way possible.’

‘Those who have sent these messages have shown complete contempt for the public they serve, the office of constable and the hard-working officers and staff in BTP who come to work every day to make a difference and behave with integrity.’

‘Holding a warrant card is a privilege and anyone who thinks it is acceptable to make such comments in the name of supposed ‘banter’ quite simply has absolutely no place in policing.’

‘All officers and staff at BTP are expected to observe the highest standards of conduct and we are absolutely committed to identifying and driving out anyone who falls short of this as we have done in this case.’

Police photos of people with injuries shouldn’t be shared, let alone joked about, and a lack of humanity towards others is a dark sign in people with considerable power. However, frontline police officers have to see and deal with ugly stuff, and these police officers get little or no emotional help from their holier-than-thou bosses, so I’m guessing that dark humour is almost unavoidable.

Of course, they were foolish for using social media, even in a private group. Where have gone the days when you could sit in your local bar with your coworkers having a craic with the chaps?

The internet can be an extremely dangerous place to chat. These police officers should have perhaps met up to chat, vent and have a joke because when you put something in writing it can be misunderstood.

Unfortunately, dark humour is like food, not everybody likes all of it.

Dark humour is a mechanism of handling dark situations, this is why most people who deal with death and despair end up with a dark sense of humour, but not everybody understands this dark humour and might find it distasteful.

By sacking these police officers, what we are saying is that anyone who makes an inappropriate joke should be fired immediately. Watch out, Big Brother is watching you, so be extremely careful what you say.

Offensive is a subjective term and what is offensive to one may not be offensive to another.

I’m sure funeral directors have their own jokes and repartee, but they’re not foolish enough to publicly post them in a chat room, and posting such comments on any media app will always be someone else’s downfall.
