Chinese Military Scientist Registered A License For A COVID-19 Vaccine

A Chinese military scientist with links to the United States reportedly filed a patent for a COVID 19 vaccine well before the virus was declared a global pandemic.

According to a news outlet, Yusen Zhou, who worked for the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), lodged the paperwork on behalf of the Chinese political party on February 24 2020.

The date was just five weeks after China first confirmed human transmission of the coronavirus.

Yusen Zhou is also said to have worked closely with scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), including Shi Zhengli, the deputy director of the laboratory who’s renowned for her research on coronavirus in bats.

Their involvement is expected to strengthen speculation that the virus leaked from the laboratory and that China was aware that it was spreading between humans long before they informed the international community.

Yusen Zhou mysteriously died less than three months after he filed the patent, and a news outlet declared that his death was only reported in one Chinese media report, despite the fact he was one of the country’s most notable scientists.

The newspaper reported that Yusen Zhou had previously worked on research linked to the US institutions, including the University of Minnesota and the New York Blood Centre, and in recent weeks, several of the world’s top scientists have pushed to determine whether the virus was leaked from the WIV.

The laboratory leak theory was originally rejected by many in the media and academic communities, but US President Joe Biden last week ordered intelligence agencies to launch an inquiry into whether COVID was man-made after all.

More than a dozen national Labs managed by the Department of Energy have been ordered to assist the intelligence community in a 90-day sprint to examine the source of the virus.

A White House official told CNN that the labs had been tapped because of their ability to crunch huge amounts of data with their advanced supercomputers, and the White House official told CNN that they wanted the science to be a huge part of that and that they were going to use the full resources of their intelligence and scientific community to try to get to the bottom of it.

Joe Biden is also urging US intelligence agencies and those of allies to hunt for new information that could shed light on whether China covered up the laboratory leak, and this is not looking good for China, and maybe the conspiracy theorist may have been onto something after all, and let’s face it, it’s the conspiracy theorist that’s simply the first one to put the puzzle together – it doesn’t hurt or harm when asking others to think outside the box.

Zhou died in inexplicable circumstances in May 2020, less than three months after filing the patent – of course, he did, and I wonder how many others died in questionable circumstances, and it’s becoming more and more apparent that this was all done to plan, but nothing will be done about it – Joe Biden doesn’t have the sand and no other country has the guts, and this is sounding more and more like a crime against humanity.

And it was suspected that the virus was designed for population control, to eliminate the weak and vulnerable, and if this was the case, the entire thing is sickening and a complete cover-up.

And for someone to have filed a copyright of a virus vaccine before the COVID virus was ruled a pandemic, indicates that they knew something terrible was about to happen, and this sort of thing should frighten people to death because it would then lead us to believe that the virus did escape from Wuhan.

Baftas Was So Woke It Should Be Renamed The Waftas!

Viewers called out Bafta for hosting a woke awards ceremony last night, with many suggesting they would turn off or fast forward through the politically correct show.

Some even suggested renaming the organisation as the WAFTAs, the Woke Academy of Film and Television Arts.

The academy this year produced its most diverse lineup of winners in its history, honouring TV shows dealing with race, politics and sexuality.

Several of the hotly tipped picks including Normal People’s Paul Mescal and the Michaela Coel drama 1 May Destroy You picked up gongs to huge celebrations from supporters.

But other parts of the ceremony brought the wrath of viewers with the BBC who were broadcasting and BAFTA in the firing line.

Several people criticised Diversity’s win of the ‘Must see moment’ for their questionable BLM themed dance on Britain’s Got Talent, which sparked 24,000 complaints.

Officials were accused of pursuing a woke, political agenda when they first shortlisted the dance for the Virgin Media’s Must-See Moment Award.

One viewer wrote: ‘Up for a BAFTA award for being on their knees in support of BLM. Welcome to woke great Britain.’

Another added: ‘Must-see TV moment well that’s a shock, I don’t think. BBC is woke personified.’

Viewers were also left wincing over the ceremony’s host Richard Ayoade’s jokes, although the comedian is believed to have been hit by some technical problems.

The show took place at London’s Television Centre with stringent COVID 19 regulations in place, meaning a much-reduced audience to react to Richard Ayoade’s gags.

But delays in the communication systems meant that he was also left waiting several seconds before getting any laughs for his jokes, leading to a somewhat uncomfortable atmosphere.

One viewer tweeted: ‘This feels so… empty. I know it’s because there’s not a lot of people there but the atmosphere seems so off and awkward.’

Richard Ayoade even quipped about the circumstances himself, saying at one point that in just two weeks, the national lockdown may be lifted, but why wait until then to have this show? And that he liked things with no atmosphere, and as the audience roared and applauded, he replied: ‘Thank you, it’s good to wait three minutes to show any signs of appreciation.’

He then made a jibe about the virtual audience made up of members of the public.

The only way to free our lives from blatant brainwashing is to bin the TV and stop paying BBC licence fees, but perhaps we should let them have the BAFTAs, we can always tune into something else.

But this was all political drivel, not entertainment, and if they want to express themselves politically, they should get a job in government, and the British people shouldn’t have to be lectured in their own living rooms.

And there was a clear agenda last night, the same agenda that’s being pushed down our gullets, and ceremonies and shows like this are no longer of any interest to the great silent majority, and slowly, but surely countless people in this country are turning off their TV’s as there’s little worth watching.

And it wasn’t diverse at all, and we shouldn’t have diversity in any way. We are human beings, not races, and it’s about time we all understood that, and people should win or go forward on their own merit and nothing else.

It shouldn’t matter what colour your skin is, it’s what kind of person you are that defines the sort of person you are, and as for taking to the knee, that should only be reserved for the Queen, and most of these stars get paid way more than they’re worth, which is by far reward enough without getting a BAFTA.

Huge Drop In Vaccinations

Plunging vaccination rates are threatening President Joe Biden’s goal to have 70 per cent of American adults get their first COVID 19 shot by Independence Day.

A news outlet reported that less than 500,000 adults are now being vaccinated each day, down from a peak of 3.4 million in April.

Currently, 51.5 per cent of Americans or 170.8 million people have got their first COVID 19 vaccine. That number includes adults and also children over twelve who are eligible for the shot. When calculating only adults, 63.5 per cent have had at least one jab.

To reach the 70 per cent goal by July 4, 16 million more adults will need to have their first shot in the next 28 days.

According to the publication, that’s now going to be a remarkably difficult task, with officials missing preliminary targets by about two million doses last week.

A news outlet reported that there are only 2.4 million adults who got their first shots last week. Officials calculated that numbers need to be 4.2 million a week to meet Joe Biden’s July 4 goal.

The news outlet reported that the slowdown was throughout the US and that every state’s vaccination rates were down by at least two thirds since their peaks. The South, especially, is pulling down national numbers.

Alabama, for example, has only 36.2 per cent of its adult residents receive their first dose of the vaccine, and last week the state had only four people per 10,000 residents getting vaccinated.

Most states on the East and West coasts, however, are surging ahead of expectations.

Thirteen states, including Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, have already vaccinated 70 per cent of adults.

Several others, including New York, California and Oregon, have already had close to 60 per cent of adults get their first vaccine dose and will likely reach Joe Biden’s target.

To get 16 million more Americans to roll up their sleeves, the president has announced incentives including complimentary Anheuser Busch beer for 200,000 people and a visit to the White House.

Other states have attempted stunts like lotteries for cash rewards.

Additionally, pharmacies that have teamed up with the White House will be open for 24 hours on specific days and centres will be offering free childcare for parents.

Late last week, TODAY host Savannah Guthrie asked CDC Director Dr Rochelle Walensky if the current pace of vaccinations was enough to hit the president’s target or if a push was required to increase the daily numbers.

But is this unexpected fall in vaccinations because people are now not prepared to endanger their health on an experimental drug that was rushed to the market, to circumvent a bogeyman virus, and until now there have been far too many sheep in the world who were too idle to look into things a little closer and believed everything the media told them, and now there’s just a lack of trust, and there seems to be something sinister and obscure about the entire thing.

And why would people trust their lives with an untested vaccine? And perhaps people don’t want to be guinea pigs.

And why are they so desperate with this hard sell push?

Those that wanted the vaccine went and got the vaccine, but they’ve not even been proven to be effective. You can still get the virus – you can still spread the virus, so it seems somewhat pointless – like masks.

But people are waking up because people will never be completely vaccinated – it will be booster after booster for the rest of your life, and the government will restrict your liberties if you don’t comply.

The vaccine is available, but some people are choosing not to get vaccinated, and Joe Biden based his projection on cooperation from the people, but you can’t make people do what they don’t want to do.

Why Have Americans Stopped Wearing Seatbelts?

The number of people killed after being involved in a car crash while not wearing their seat belt soared by twenty per cent last year, even though the roads were much quieter because of COVID.

A recently released National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report recorded that there were 6,052 deaths caused by ejections in 2020 but just 5,059 in 2019, an increase of twenty per cent, and there were 18,685 deaths not caused by ejections in 2020 but 19,289 in 2019, an increase of only three per cent.

It also noted that there were 11,883 deaths of people not wearing seatbelts in 2020 but only 10,369 in 2019, an increase of 15 per cent. The number of deaths amongst people wearing seatbelts went down three per cent from 11,844 deaths in 2019 to 11,512 in 2020.

The federal agency noted that the percentage of unrestrained passengers deaths increased from March, when lockdown measures went into effect, through December. The biggest spike occurred in April when unbelted passengers made up 55 per cent of traffic mortality, opposed to just 45 per cent in 2019.

The report also drilled into other measurements of traffic deaths in 2020, including that fatal accidents rose by eleven per cent at night, and fatal accidents involving speeding were up to eleven per cent and police-reported collisions involving alcohol were up nine per cent.

Fatal accidents among younger age groups were all up at least 14 per cent while fatal accidents amongst people 65 and older were down nine per cent, perhaps a factor of the pandemic as many amongst the elderly was restricted to their homes.

In perhaps another effect of the pandemic, the federal agency noted that there was an increase in the fatality rate per 100 million vehicle miles travelled on rural roads and urban roads, especially last April as people escaped cities.

Last month, the Governors Highway Safety Association also released a report detailing pedestrian-related deaths during 2020, which it said was the largest yearly increase since it began collecting the data decades ago.

The association reported that pedestrian mortality in 2020 rose by 21 per cent from 2019, noting that another factor was the rising shift in US vehicle sales away from passenger vehicles to light trucks.

Data from the Federal Highway Administration notes that travel on all roads and streets in the country fell for each month of 2020 at least 8.6 per cent compared to 2019.

The biggest traffic reductions were last April when road traffic dropped 39.8 per cent and May when it fell 25.5 per cent. The data shows traffic was beginning to return as lockdown measures were lifted, with traffic rising 19 per cent from last March, the onset of the pandemic.

Maybe they should make vehicles that don’t go past 45 mph, then deaths from vehicular accidents will shoot down, and then at least people won’t be able to shriek and complain that they can’t go 100 mph in a school zone.

And it appears that just like everything else, common sense has gone out of the window – pardon the pun because if you don’t wear a seatbelt and you do have an accident, that’s precisely what would happen.

A seat belt might leave you with a painful shoulder or even a broken shoulder if you were in a crash with another vehicle, but at least a person or persons could deal with that, rather than going through the windscreen like superman!

Statistics show conclusively that seat belts save lives, and education is the key to demonstrate the real advantages of seat belts – rules are there for a reason, but people do flout them at their own peril.

The problem is people get complacent, given all the safety features on today’s vehicles, and they seem to believe that all these features negate having to wear a seat belt but they don’t, and it doesn’t matter how many airbags, crash assist, anti-lock brakes or auto drive a vehicle has, a seat belt is the most important thing to keep a person protected.

William And Kate To Save The Union

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may be required to spend more time in Scotland under plans reportedly drawn up by palace officials to bolster the Union, and according to a news outlet, Kate and William would spend more time at Balmoral, in light of growing support for Scottish independence after the Scottish National Party’s landslide victory in the Holyrood election last month.

The report says that the couple would also strengthen relations with their former university town of St Andrews if the proposals go ahead.

The report comes only days after the couple’s tour of Scotland in which William said the country was so important to himself and his wife, and on the closing day of their visit, William and Kate secured a meeting with Gordon Brown who’s recently launched a renewed campaign to preserve the Union.

The couple sat down for discussions with the former prime minister and his wife Sarah at the Queen’s official Edinburgh home, and later William gave a deeply personal goodbye address as his week-long tour drew to a close, explaining how Scotland had shaped him and honouring its people and values.

The debate over Scottish independence has increased after the Scottish National Party’s landslide victory in the Holyrood election in May, which also produced the largest pro-independence majority in the Parliament in the history of devolution.

Boris Johnson has since stood by his pre-election stance, maintaining the focus should be on the recovery from COVID 19 and not on another independence referendum.

Last month, a spokesperson for Kensington Palace said that during his time in Scotland, Prince William has spoken to a wide array of people from various communities including politicians from across the political rainbow.

The Duke sat down for discussions with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and further met with Alistair Carmichael, Liberal Democrat MP for Orkney and Shetland.

Shortly after the Holyrood election, Gordon Brown announced his Our Scottish Future think tank which will become a campaigning movement, endeavouring to appeal to middle Scotland, for those who aren’t entrenched in their positions on the union or independence.

Gordon Brown, who played a fundamental position in the No campaign during the 2014 vote, has said those in middle Scotland are patriots, not nationalists who want to see greater interaction between the UK’s governments.

Ahead of the Scottish independence referendum in 2014 the Queen reportedly said she hoped voters would think carefully about the future, and perhaps William and Kate are the ideal couple to inspire and unite, after all, they met in Scotland and have extremely close links and amazing memories of this wonderful place.

Although numerous couples have also met in Scotland, but you don’t see the world handing them a plate of silver because of that, so what makes theirs so special than the rest? But it’s delightful to see the Monarchy showing that Scotland and the Union are important, but in the end, it will be down to the Scottish people.

But inspiring and uniting, not sure that’s going to happen, or maybe it might have the opposite effect, after all, what do they have to contribute – two people standing, waving and looking attractive isn’t the solution to anything.

The monarchy is a credit to no one but the upper echelons of society, and it’s really sad that proles are so brainwashed they’re incapable of seeing this, and this is an extremely greedy, costly institution that should have been abolished a long time ago.

And if William wants to be involved in Scottish politics, perhaps he should run for public office so he has a legitimate platform for his advocacies, and whilst we’re at it, perhaps people should be given a vote on whether they want these unelected royals to represent them, and waste their taxpayers’ money on.

Plane Carrying One Of Britain’s Most Senior Civil Servants

An aircraft thought to be carrying one of Britain’s most senior civil servants on a mission to protect the vaccination programme came within 100 feet of a possibly catastrophic collision with a suspected drone.

The BAE-146 jet, an RAF aircraft used by members of the Royal Family and Government ministers, was returning to the United Kingdom from Brussels on March 23 when the pilots detected a 3-foot device flying extremely close.

A report by the UK Airprox Board, which investigates near-misses, said the suspected drone was flying at 4,000 feet, ten times higher than the legal maximum height, and the jet’s pilots reported that it seemed to be within 50 feet to 100 feet above their altitude and passed just to the starboard side of the aircraft.

It’s understood that the passengers included Sir Tom Barrow, Political Director of the Foreign Office, who’d been assigned to Brussels after the EU threatened to block exports of the AstraZeneca vaccine to the United Kingdom.

Sir Tom Barrow, was previously an ambassador to Ukraine, Russia and the EU and a principal figure in the Brexit talks.

The aircraft was travelling at 175 mph – too fast for the pilots to be sure it was a drone, but aircrew at RAF Northolt in West London informed the police, but it appears that we’re waiting for a catastrophic plane crash before tightening up rules on drones, although there are some rules already, but there will always be someone that doesn’t follow them.

And all aircraft should have dashcam to later identify drones, or whatever it is, although drones are excellent at capturing video evidence of things the authorities would prefer you don’t see, and it baffles me why a tragedy has to happen with one of these things before action is taken against them and their owners.

Hefty fines would hopefully prevent these incredibly dangerous drones from operating near air space, and hopefully, the word would quickly get around, but until then, these acts will continue and it’s only a matter of time before one comes into contact with an aircraft with unfavourable consequences, but instead, we have to wait for a plane crash before this incompetent government will take this seriously.

And why are civil servants flying on our forces aircraft? They’re paid enough to pay for their own transport, but it looks like it’s the norm for the RAF to put on flights to places to pick up civil servants and high ranking forces officers, and because some senior rich bloke was on the plane, it made this newsworthy, but had he not been on board, this wouldn’t have made the news.

Suspected drone means unidentified flying object (UFO), and had it been a drone, they would have dropped the “suspected.”

Freedom Day In Doubt

Matt Hancock said that Ministers are open to delaying England’s June 21 Freedom Day if the information on COVID cases turns bad in the next week and that it could be pushed back to a fortnight.

The Health Secretary made positive noises about the link between cases and people going to the hospital being loosened by vaccines as the Indian variant drove infections to more than 6,000 a day on Friday.

He told Sky that vaccines would be rolled out to under the 30s this coming week, saying the jabs were the way they could get out of this and restore freedoms, but he was cautious over when the freedom might come, as he confirmed that the Indian variant was 40 per cent more transmissible than the earlier dominant Kent variant.

And it was reported that plans were being made to push the lifting of coronavirus measures back to July 5, to enable more people to get the second dose of COVID vaccinations, and Matt Hancock said that ministers would be looking at the latest data over the next week before deciding on June 14.

Asked on the BBC’s Andrew Marr programme if Freedom Day could be delayed past June 21 if the information on cases and hospitalisations turned bad in the next week, Matt Hancock said that they were open to doing that if that’s what needs to happen.

He said in the roadmap that the 21st of June was the date by which they would not take step 4 before that date and they would look at the data, and that was precisely what they were doing.

Asked if the wearing of face coverings and work from home measures could continue in the long term, the Health Secretary added, that he wouldn’t rule that out, and Matt Hancock told Sky that this week they would be opening up vaccines to the under 30s and so they were getting a step closer to the point where they have been able to offer the vaccine to all adults in the country.

He said that once they’ve got everybody having had their second dose of the course, then there will be this protection that we’re seeing at the moment amongst older people, and then you get that protection amongst the entire adult population, and then that way we can get out of this and restore our freedoms, but the time of precisely when they can take that move is the big mystery.

However, do we believe a single word of what they say, well that’s the big question? And this is no big surprise because the goalposts are constantly evolving, and what they say one week has changed the next.

However, people would like to be able to work eight hours a day without wearing an air restricting Boris bib, but of course, that won’t happen because there are too many muzzle enthusiasts out there, and June 21 was in doubt the day it was set – everything in the plans was in doubt!

And this is like a pantomime playing out for the cheap seats while the real serious business at hand goes on elsewhere, tightening the screws on us, and then tightening again and by the time people become aware it will be too late, and what we now consider to be normal would have been unimaginable 18 months ago, and it’s not ending people because what will they have in store for us in another 18 months?

But our government are beyond ridiculous because on a sunny day people are still going to the park or the beach and no one is afraid, and all have been sitting about maskless whilst “Hey, be scared, be scared” headlines are running amuck.

Female Amazon Delivery Driver

A 21-year-old Amazon delivery woman brutally beat another woman, 67, who had called her a bi**ch after the San Francisco area driver told her to check her white privilege when she’d complained about a delayed parcel.

The sheriff’s office said that Itzel Ramirez, the Amazon driver, was arrested after she was filmed attacking the woman in Alameda County.

The video posted to social media shows the unknown victim from Castro Valley appearing to say something to the driver after she dropped off the packages in front of an entrance to Vista Creed Apartments at about 6 pm on Thursday.

Doug Smith, the owner of the apartment complex where the victim lives as a resident, told KTVU-TV that the victim got an alert that a package she’d been waiting for had been delivered.

When she went to the lobby of the apartment complex to retrieve the package, it wasn’t there. The Amazon driver, Ramirez, was standing nearby, and according to Doug Smith, the woman asked Ramirez where the package was, and Ramirez is said to have responded that the package would be arriving shortly.

Doug Smith said that the victim waited for approximately 15 minutes in the lobby, and then she went back outside and once again asked Ramirez about the status of the delivery.

Doug Smith told KTVU-TV that he believed the Amazon driver said something about “your white privilege” and that his tenant said “You don’t need to be a b**h about it”, and then turned around and walked away.

Ramirez was so enraged that she started hitting the woman in the head and upper body, landing as many as 10 blows, and she maintained that she was acting in self-defence.

Surveillance footage filmed by cameras located both outside and inside the lobby of the building shows Ramirez push the woman up against the front entrance and continue to strike her.

The woman was seen hunched over with her hands covering her head in an attempt to protect herself, and the victim is believed to have sustained a broken nose and other visible injuries.

Ramirez was seen wearing her Amazon vest as she posed for her booking photo with the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.

Smith told KRON-TV that the victim was too shaken up to reveal her identity and described her experiences to the press.

Ramirez was booked into jail and she’s being held on $100,000 bail.

Everything appears to be surveilled in today’s tech culture, but hasn’t this sort of behaviour been going on for decades? Although, now we’re seeing it up close and personal and people are going to jail for it.

And we see attacks like this all the time because the schools, large corporations, mainstream media, federal and some state government tell people that it’s okay and even promote it, but elected officials talk of unity, and yet people are being forced further apart.

Well, it looks like the Amazon driver just lost their job, and Amazon will be paying out quite a chunk of money pretty soon, and let’s face it, Amazon isn’t fussy about who they use to deliver their packages, and yet these people come onto our property and into our apartment buildings.

And how is this not a hate crime? As soon as she brought up race it was about race, but it’s California, and the odds are there will be very little punishment.

It makes you question why the young are so bitter, perhaps it’s because society has done them a tremendous wrong, and they think that they’re owed so much more by society than what they’ve been given and that the older generation are the ones that are holding them down, and that’s why they’re so hostile.

Or is it because they being told they’re oppressed and that their elders don’t matter? But then again, we have social media and Facebook to blame for that.

Girls Gone Wild Founder Joe Francis Was Arrested And Jailed

According to a report, Girls Gone Wild founder Joe Francis was arrested in Mexico after purportedly grabbing a woman by her neck and spitting in her face to give her COVID.

According to Mexican court records, a newspaper outlet says the 45-year-old Kardashian friend was arrested on August 13, 2020, and was charged with domestic violence and intentional harm following an incident at his Punta Mita home.

And according to a newspaper outlet, he supposedly spat in a woman’s face and pulled her across the floor.

The publication reported that court records that were translated to English say Joe Francis told the woman, whom the news outlet didn’t name, that he’d tested positive for COVID the day before the altercation.

Then, on August 1, the court records allege, he asked her to jab him with vitamins, and when she refused to get too close to him, he started to yell at her that she was an evil ‘b‘ and a ‘w‘ who he hoped rotted.

It’s unclear what the woman’s involvement was to Joe Francis, and he didn’t comment to the news outlet, which said it contacted him.

Another news outlet also contacted Joe Francis by email, but he didn’t immediately answer.

The news outlet contacted the local police department in the area of Joe Francis’s Mexico home and also the Mexican Federal Police for comment, neither immediately responded.

According to the report, the alleged victim became frightened and hid in the cupboard, shutting the door behind her, but soon, Joe Francis began shaking the door.

According to the report, she opened it and ran into another room in fear, and he allegedly told her he was kicking her out of his Casa Aramara and proceeded to grab her right arm, turning her towards him, grabbing her by the neck and spitting in her face.

According to the report, he told the woman that she didn’t care about him, but that she’d now care because she was infected as well, and the report said that Joe Francis had tested positive for COVID 19.

The report said that at that point, the court documents say, the woman tried to call the security team for the house, when Joe Francis ran at her, grabbed her by the hair, and shoved her to the ground.

He then allegedly stepped on her head and put all of his weight on her body, twisting her neck and spitting in her face again, before telling her to leave the house.

Booze? Are You 18?

At the age of 94, the last thing Ruby Goswell expected was to be asked to confirm she was old enough to enjoy a sip of Bailey’s, but when an Amazon courier delivered a couple of bottles of her favourite tipple he demanded she prove she was over 18 before handing them over.

Ruby Goswell’s son and daughter in law David and Janet had been sending her two £20 bottles of Bailey’s every fortnight for many months throughout the lockdown.

But in April, one delivery driver left her flustered by refusing to give her the bottles until she showed him ID and things got worse because the grandmother had no driving licence in her Aldershot home and her passport had expired.

The courier only relented after Ruby Goswell’s neighbour stepped in to help on her behalf.

Janet Goswell, 68, from Bletchingley, Surrey, said that she was appalled when she learned what had occurred and she knew she was flustered, and that it was absurd to think that someone would ask a 94-year-old for ID and that it was essentially a form of harassment to ask elderly people for something like that.

In another case, a charity worker 63-year-old John Bull was also asked to prove his age after ordering eight cans of cider as part of a grocery shop last month, and when he refused to show his identification, the delivery driver tried to take back the groceries.

Finally, the courier left John Bull with his shopping, but when he complained to the retailer he was pointed towards its terms and conditions.

John Bull, who lives near Manchester, said that it was ridiculous to ask someone of his age to prove they’re over 18, but on its website, Amazon tells customers buying drink that they have to present photographic ID, such as a driving licence, passport or bus pass, and it adds that if there’s anybody at the address aged 18 years or over who can show valid photo identification, the item will be returned to Amazon for re-delivery the following day.

Tory MP Sir John Haye said that Amazon was showing a total lack of common sense and a disregard for customers and that by asking pensioners for ID, they’re only making their customers suffer – a spokesperson for Amazon refused to comment.

The laws in this country are that no drink is to be sold to under 18’s and that if in doubt the seller must challenge whatever the company policy is, whether that be under 21, 25 or even 30. So, to guarantee that they don’t get it wrong some businesses simply operate an ID must be recorded and documented, even if the person is 94 years old, but this is what our country has come to, and we should blame our government for this.

And, ironically, this is one item that Amazon delivery drivers won’t leave unattended on the doorstep, but everything else they’re happy for anyone to steal.
